Works beautifully and worth every penny!
Simple, compact, easy to take on any camping trip.I bought it to use in my backyard fire pit. I have never used a rotisserie before so I cooked an 8 pound chicken the first time. I made a lot of mistakes but this little battery powered motor ran for 5.5 hours without any problem.Today, I did a 16 pound turkey. It took about 4.5 hours, and I was using the same batteries.10+ hours on one pair of D cell batteries plus all the heat from the fire, it's absolutely amazing. I didn't expect it to run that long on one set of batteries and I really thought it was going to overheat, but it didn't.I did make a heat shield out of an aluminum foil bread pan but that was for my hands protection whenever I needed to operate the on/off switch. The only issue I had was with the turkey. The weight of the turkey would make the spit pop out of the motor but I just put a log behind the motor to support the weight. There are little holes in the poles that I think I might run a metal rod through in order to provide better support for heavier foods but all in all I am extremely pleased and highly recommend this product!

Worked well, had to modify to keep from falling.
I love what it does, It works great and does a great job rotating. The rotisserie rod (spit) kept pulling out of the mechanical box and I had to modify the rest of the spit to get it to stay in.

Good Battery Powered Rotisserie
The media could not be loaded. This is a good rotisserie that has great power for a battery operated rotisserie motor. I’ve had an electric rotisserie motor that didn’t have the power of this one. It comes with everything needed… spit rod and forks, bushing, counterweight, standing rods and brackets. Just takes 2 D batteries and it doesn’t seem to drain the batteries a lot. I put 2 very cheap dollar tree batteries and I was able to rotisserie a whole chicken that was approximately 8-10 lbs. and it didn’t completely drain the batteries and it didn’t even slow down. Very satisfied with the purchase so far.

Poor quality
Poor quality. Did not last. Fell apart and legs broke on the first time using it. Ruined my planned rotisserie bbq. I do not recommend this product.

Great for camp cooking!
The media could not be loaded. I found the rotisserie easy to set up and use, and it will run for hours on 2 D cell batteries. The part that holds the motor also acts as a heat shield if properly positioned on the post (I figured that out in my second cook). It is well built and a great value.

Works good
Easy to assemble and use. I cooked with cornish hens and chicken thigh in basket. It rotates and cook just fine with no issues. I do not know why there were few negative reviews. My guess it is an user error… Try not to overload the weight and/or at least use a counterbalance to support the weight of a whole chicken. Overall, I like this product. I’m getting another for camping trips.

Motor isn't as strong as advertised
I bought this primarily to use for my Thanksgiving turkey. The description says it has a 20 lb. capacity, but the motor couldn't handle my 17 pounder, even using the counterweight (which doesn't feel all that heavy to me for it's purpose). Glad I had a backup plan. Seems like it would probably work out great with a stronger motor.

great cooking on fire
My husband and I really love this, We have cooked chicken over a fire in our pit with this rotisserie and we have also cooked steak on the grill over the fire. We love it.
