these are wonderful things to have if you have Lamy Fountain Pens. they are made well. fir smoothly into the body of the pens. they provide good ink flow and in fact I have had no issues with these converters at all

I found the multi-pack of Lamy Z28 Piston Converters to be cost effective. They arrived promptly and fit perfectly into my Lamy AL-Star pens. Though the volume of ink they hold is less than a standard cartridge, I like how I can empty the ink back into its bottle and refill with a different colour when needed.

Does the job. Good quality. No ink leakage.

Robust and easy to fit. Reliable and value for money. It feels ‘right’ compared to the rest of the pen. It looks right - in the clear barrels too. The little guide pins fit into the slots on the barrel so there is something to help stop the cartridge spinning when you screw in the plunger. Minor niggle - there is not a positive click or haptic feedback when it’s inserted correctly. (Everything else in the Lamy pens has something like that for interchangeable parts.) First time round, I didn’t push it in far enough and spilled ink into the pen barrel. Second time I was afraid of forcing it too hard. Learning that the pins line up just below the slots in the barrel was a learning curve that could have been avoided by design.

I've been using Lamy Safaris for years now as my everyday fountain pens because I love writing by hand. My friends always compliment me on my handwriting and say that my little cards lift their spirits. Even the lady in the post office said she was cheered up by seeing real handwriting in a lovely colour on my envelopes. Much better than something printed out. I recently got a new Safari that came without cartridges or a converter because I like to use different coloured inks for different things. This converter arrived quickly and is a genuine Lamy part. Well made, and I can tell you from experience that they last for a very, very long time. A tip: You can take out the converter and put it directly into your ink bottle to refill it. But the ink flow is quicker and better if you leave it on the pen and refill via the nib. Don't forget to put some filtered water through your converter now and then and clean the pen and nib to ensure the best flow and smoothness, especially if you haven't used your pen for some time or have left it dry. I have sometimes thought these things are a bit pricey, but considering that I've had some for many years and they are still going strong, I think they are very reasonably priced. Lamy is designed in Germany since the 1930s, and made in Germany. Quality to count on. I have no affiliations with Lamy, just years of experience using and enjoying these pens. I prefer using ink over cartridges because the flow from cartridges can be inconsistent, especially as the ink level lowers. Also there is the plastic wastage to consider. Not so much of an issue with these converters.

Does the job, works very well in my Lamy Fountain pen.

Fits my Lamy pens exactly and useful to have more than one so that I can change inks easily from pen to pen or keep one as a cleaning/flushing tool.
