Will it clean scorch marks off of stainless steel pans?

Great question! It really depends on the intensity of the scorch marks and it is hard to say without seeing them. We would recommend using the Rolite Pre-Polish, which is a more aggressive polish, and follow-up with the Rolite Metal Polish to remove the scorch marks.

I"m looking for something that will shine pennies up to brand new status. Someone in the comments mentioned shining a coin, but didn't say what kind.

Hi Barb, Rolite Metal Polish will work great on pennies! In fact, pennies are one of the items we use as demonstrations at trade shows. Using a microfiber cloth, put a small dab on the penny and gently swirl it around in a circular motion. You will see the oxidation immediately and it will turn black. Then use a clean section of the cloth and buff it off while it is still moist.

will this prevent rust?

This is not a one time application. When the subject matter loses it shine, reapply the polish to make shinny and new again. You would have to apply a sealer to prevent rust.

Can I polish my pocket knife with this?

Absolutely! First clean the surface to be polished and then add a very small amount with a clean microfiber and rub gently in a circular motion. Once the oxidation occurs, buff off while still moist with a different section of the microfiber and it will leave a brilliant shine.
