The Perfect Companion for 3D Printing Projects
I recently purchased the ELEGOO PLA Plus Filament in 1.75mm Black for a series of 3D printing projects, and I must say, this filament has exceeded my expectations. The quality and performance of this PLA+ filament have made it a standout addition to my 3D printing materials. Firstly, the strength and durability of the PLA Plus filament are impressive. It's noticeably tougher and stronger than standard PLA, which is evident in the final print quality. The objects I've printed have shown excellent structural integrity, with no signs of brittleness or warping, a common issue with lesser-quality filaments. The filament's consistency is another aspect worth noting. It feeds smoothly into the printer without any clogging or tangling issues. This consistency is crucial for long print jobs, ensuring that the printing process is uninterrupted and reliable. Also, the 1.75mm diameter is accurately maintained throughout the spool, which is essential for precision in printing. The finish of the prints is something that I find particularly pleasing. The black color is rich and uniform, giving a professional and sleek appearance to the completed models. Whether for functional parts or decorative items, the aesthetic quality this filament brings is top-notch. Another important factor is the ease of use. The ELEGOO PLA Plus Filament adheres well to the printing bed and works well at typical PLA printing temperatures, making it a hassle-free option for both beginners and experienced users. In terms of value, this 1KG spool is priced very reasonably, especially considering the enhanced properties of PLA+. Whether you're a hobbyist or a professional, this filament provides excellent quality without breaking the bank. In conclusion, the ELEGOO PLA Plus Filament in Black is an exceptional choice for anyone involved in 3D printing. Its combination of strength, consistency, aesthetic quality, and ease of use makes it a superior filament, suitable for a wide range of applications. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, reliable 3D printer filament.

Not my usual filament but will be.
When I first started 3d printing I used two pla+ brands: Polymaker and Overture. After mastering the basics my curiosity began thinking about other filaments, how they are the same and how they differ. My s1 pro just ticked over 450 hours, and my sv06 about 600+ hours. I've tried the following in both: Creality, Hatchbox(nightmare, cost me an extruder), 3DF, Inland, Amolen, Sunlu, eSUN, Eryone, flashforge, voxelabs. Always up for trying new things, and when Elegoo filament popped up on Amazon and decided to give it a whirl. Glad I did. It's probably the best wound filament I've used, not brittle so it doesn't break off in my sv06 extruder(like sunlu), no stringing on my creality s1 pro - just a tad on my SV06 but its due to the printer's heat creep issue. The print quality is beautiful, layer adhesion is excellent, no issues with warping or bed adhesion. If you get clogging bump your temperature up. Worked great at 220 on my s1 pro, clogged my sv06 when I ran it at 210-220, bumped it up to 230 then it worked perfectly. Another thing to note - my bed temperature is 65-70 rather than the standard 60, much better first layer and support adhesion than at 60, plus when the bed cools to ambient the print just pops up with no fuss. Summary: Good price on a great filament.

Massive fail at the beginning of the roll
Wow, I truly 2 believed my printer was toast. It sounded like the old playing card in bicycle spokes we used to do as kids. It was my extruder clicking and popping. Immediately flipped the power switch and spent hours looking into the problem. I thought it was a clogged nozzle, bad PTFE tubing, z offset too close to the bed...but it wouldn't stop that horrible clicking. I have many pounds of successful prints (and a pound or 2 of massive failures) under my belt and this is the first time that happened. I have 2 Elegoo printers, and they have been fantastic printers overall. I still love my Ender 3, but they are leaps better overall and they don't need to be worked on weekly. That is why I didn't suspect the filament. I reached out to Elegoo and asked them what they recommended. They replied back with a order confirmation sending me a new spool. No questions, no blaming me either which I am sure we all worry about when contacting manufacturers. That was crazy fast and hassle-free service. The new roll is putting out amazing prints at 225c and 72c bed temp without an enclosure. This is a tough PLA+ for sure. It is my new favorite.

Good high quality filament!
Very smooth filament, prints great and I love the color. No issues with the spooling and tangles and it prints great with my tuned PLA settings!

Would buy this one again.
Elegoo pla plus printer filament. (black) Using the recommended 215 degrees, and a bed temperature of 60 degrees, I had no problems with this filament. Starting layer temperature was 65 degrees to make it stick better. When I get the money, I will buy this one again. It was vacuum sealed with a decadent. Only problem is the bag is not resealable. But that is ok, because I wanted a 2.5 gallon zip log bag anyway. One with a zipper. I had a problem with the printer and had to store the filament in the zip lock bag for about 5 days. I put the decadent in with it. I had no problems with printing with it. The plastic quality is great. It's hard and strong. If only PLA plastic had better tolerance to heat.

Kind of problematic, but as a value option, not a dealbreaker
My point of reference for PLA+ is Duramic, and I have had excellent results from them over several spools. Nearly perfection, that, no need to baby it with regards to humidity. I've actually never had to consider humidity as an issue until I started working with this stuff. Anyway, this PLA+ is about $7 USD cheaper, and I think I'd consider buying Elegoo again for prints whose aesthetics don't matter, because my main gripes are two: One, the filament sizzled and had some random inconsistent lines as if it were already humidified. Two, a nasty little tangle came up early in the spool, which hasn't repeated itself further in. My hunch is that $7 buys you better QA, and that I got a little unlucky with a slightly soggier reel, because the sizzling tapered off to nothing as I got through. Both of these things sucked, but they weren't so persistent that I considered the reel bricked.

Great packaging, spooling and produces high quality prints.
Works very well on my Centauri Carbon printer particularly when care is taken to set all the proper slicer settings.
