I was a little apprehensive about purchasing these smoke detectors. Since the reviews said they were difficult to install. I was able to install all six without a single issue. The wiring was easy to to understand and wire into my existing system. These were way less than the competition. Mounting was a breeze and test. I didn't even turn of the power, began with the black, yellow (red), and white was last. Plan to buy in our new home also.

The smoke detectors in your house don't last forever. My old hard-wired detector seemed to be working OK, but it was over 10 years old, so out it went. This new one wired up to the house wiring easily, and mounted to my existing round junction box perfectly. Good for 10 more years.

They worked as described, but I had to supply the screw, to get them mounted. because it did not match up with the location of the holes on the electrical box. The holes were too small. There was another area I was able to glide a screw and make it work. They look great.

Very easy to install and works perfectly I believe, but I don't want to "really" test them if you know what I mean. They are loud. And very reasonably priced.

Work great. One of our old ones stopped working. 39 yrs old wired. Nice replacements . Had to replace both for them to work right.

Test button may be defective

The holes in the base plate didn't match the holes in the junction box but it was easy to drill new ones.
