I almost returned the watch when a brilliant idea came to mind—why don’t I just replace the somewhat chintzy bracelet with a leather one? So I did, and it won me over. The case is finished nicely and I really enjoy the real blue dial with the sapphire crystal hovering above it. Like I said, bracelet rattles and feels insignificant, but I don’t think that’s a reason not to buy this watch, especially at the $137 sale price I bought it for. The bracelet wasn’t a hair puller and was still comfortable. However, I would love to see the Seiko Essential line with some leather strap options for those who want to ditch the bracelet without having to pay an additional price. Still, solid watch with or without the included bracelet.

Great look

I bought this for an affordable beater watch to wear to my blue collar job. I swapped the bracelet for a rubber strap and have been quite pleased with it. The blue dial is gorgeous and the watch wears comfortably and the sapphire crystal is a great feature at this price point. It has kept accurate time as well.

Dials are hard to see in daylight and not at all at night.

The color of the face of the watch is a medium blue just a tad darker than the crayon color blue. The whole watch is great.

Did not come with the correct amount of link and link pins. Set for a small wrist.
