Rolson 50824 300mm Stainless Steel Ruler

Steel ruler. Fair for price as plastics cheaper, but for a good quality steel rule its great. Unsure about its bendability.

I've been using this Rolson 300mm (12 inch) Stainless Steel Ruler for a while now, and it's become an indispensable tool in my daily work. It's just a simple steel ruler, but that's exactly what I like about it. No frills, no fuss - just a reliable and accurate measuring tool that gets the job done every time. The stainless steel construction is durable and resistant to wear and tear, even with heavy use. And despite being used daily in my office, it still looks brand new. I've tried other rulers before, but this one has become my go-to for any measurement task. It's just so easy to use and always gives accurate results. If you're looking for a simple, reliable, and durable steel ruler that will last you for years to come, then I'd highly recommend this item.

Bought many of these over the years. I prefer these because they have nicer writing than the other cheap metal rulers on the market, and the long edges are surface ground flat so they're good for a cutting edge. As people have pointed out this means the corners on each edge are crisp, but I don't find this to be a problem. It's not razor sharp to the point where you will cut your fingers but they do cut through packaging tape on boxes with ease. The markings on the ruler are also physically marked and filled in with black paint so the markings will last a long time. This is also true for the conversion chart on the back. Being metal I also like to just stick them all over the place with magnets. Often I will add 2 onto an order. The reason for buying 2 is that the quality control in the grinding of the 0mm spot is all over the place. Sometimes they can be ground too much which makes the measurement from the beginning incorrect by up to 2mm depending on how bad it is, and other times they aren't ground square. This is important if you need to make repeatable measurements, or accurate measurements, at least as accurate as you can be using a ruler. For £1.10 you can't complain, and you can still take good measurements easily from the 10cm mark.

Great steel ruler for the price. Solid and easy to use. I use for measuring and cutting crafts with a craft knife. I read the review about the trimming of the ruler making the starting measurements inaccurate, but this one looks fine. I haven't compared it with any other rulers to check accuracy, but if I'm only measuring with this it doesn't matter. One side has centimetres, millimetres, and a section with half-millimetres. The other side has inches down to 16ths, and sections with 32nds and 64ths. (I'm not sure if I'll ever need to measure something to a 64th of an inch!)

Very strong material, easy to make straight lines with. Perfect for many circumstances!

As a college student, I do a lot of travelling back and forth on trains and often found that plastic rulers or foldable rulers snap in my bag, to the point where I must have bought 20 or so through college. I bought this in my final 6 weeks of college and wish I would've got it at the beginning. Pros: Strong and sturdy Very precise and measurements start on the end It even has a conversion table on the back, for both inches, mm, and drill bits Cons: It is quite sharp on the corners, not enough to cut you but enough to hurt a little if you accidentally brush against it

I did not expect this ruler to be so good given the bargain basement price tag. I do not know how accurate it is, but using a tape measure against it is 30cm where it says it is, which is good enough for me when, for example, trying to decide how long a wood screw to buy to hold two bits of wood together without the sharp end protruding out the other side. Unexpectedly, and to the good, the scale is etched/stamped onto the rule, so if the black ink wears off you will not end up with a metal rod, just a ruler that is slightly harder to read. It's thick enough that you would/could not bend it permanently by mistake. The ruler is magnetic, so (As I understand it) is not a particularly high quality of stainless steel, but the price reflects this. I have bought 5 of these, so now everyone in my office has a ruler. Silly I know, but when I need a ruler I do not have to go hunting. "Who has THE ruler?"

Da kann man nicht falsch machen. Ein Edelstahllineal CM/Zoll mit einer praktischen Umrechnungstabelle auf der Rückseite und hilfreichen Angaben wie z.B. Gewindebohrergrößen. Ideal zum messen und als Schneidhilfe.
