It's Awesome
Amazing functionality and enables me to listen to the cassettes that I had inherited from my grandma dorothy. I love listening to the music and my baby sister also loves it.

incredibly terrible...
Okay, given the price I didn't expect much, but still managed to be really disappointed. The tape doesn't turn at a constant rate, causing continuous minor pitch variations that totally destroy the playback. I tried several different power supplies; didn't make any difference. It really seems as though this manufacturer didn't even try- the rev and ff buttons are reversed, and the impedance for the line out jack is completely wrong. There's basically nothing to recommend except that I don't think it's destroying my tapes as it tries to play them.

I am still learning how to use the mp3 feature but I love the tape player. It brings me way back.

Its a great temporary solution.
It works well but you should eventually get better equipment if you want your tapes to sound better. Its great if you want the "tape effect" for music too.

Just Ok
Play button broke off after a couple of uses but it still works OK. There is a very noticeable humming between tracks. Occasionally the music slows down as if the motor isn't strong enough (even with fresh batteries). It's about what you would expect for the price. Very compact size is a plus.

Great For Now
I haven't opened it yet, but it's packaged very nicely. Hubby needs this cassette player to transfer his sermons.

Buy a different one
First of all, using the term "Walkman" is deceptive. It's a cheap off brand, poor quality tape player. The silver is plastic and the door for the batteries is so thin I'm afraid to break it. The machine comes with a disc which nowadays is useless. But they say you can also download the software. Only problem, there's no link in the book. So looking at the photos I saw that they use AudioLava. Went to their website and downloaded it and the first thing I was asked for was a license number, or did I want to purchase? Since I had the disk I assumed it came with the software to use the product. Also promises that when you plug the device into your computer Windows will install the driver automatically. But it doesn't. Honestly, this looks like a product from about 10 years ago for Windows 3 that never got an upgrade. As a tape player it's ok for the money, but if you got it to transfer tapes to digital, look for something else.
