This worked for me. I have a Schwinn Upright Stationary Bike. A journey 1.5.The only suggestion that I will make is that when you screw the outer part of the sleeve. Tighten it as well as you can. Even use a wrench. This will get the outer sleeve out as far as possible. Was easy to use. thought was reasonably price. I thought this You Tube video was very instructive.

This is the right tool for the job, that’s for sure! Don’t try and make it work using other tools - just get this.

Broke the first time I used it. Ended up at the bike shop. Do not order if you need a tool for multiple uses. Cheap metal and threads cross immediately. Ruined my bike. DO not buy!

If you've ever tried to service a mountain bike without the right tools, you know how frustrating it can be. The arms, which are attached to the pedals and also bolted to the crank, require a specialized tool to remove. This product is a tool that is necessary to remove the arms and take the crank apart. Tried removing an old Campagnolo crankset and although the threads matched perfectly, this tool stripped out as soon as I put some pressure on it. The crankset has been on the bike for over 22 years, so I’m sure it was going to be difficult to remove, but the tool never even let the removal get that far. You get what you pay for, which was not much in this case.
