Nice Mattel die-cast Smokejumper toy from Planes 2, fits into the matching Cabbie transporter plane toy, but its shovel is fixed
This a review for the Smokejumper Avalanche toy from the Disney Planes 2: Fire and Rescue film, which my young nephews really enjoyed watching. I got this Smokejumper for my nephews (aged 5 and 8) as I had given them the Planes Fire and Rescue Cabbie Transporter aeroplane , and although the three Die-cast Smokejumpers Avalanche , Blackout , and Drip were shown prominently on the front of Cabbie's box, the boys were very disappointed to find out none of the smokejumpers were included. So I had Smokejumper Avalanche sent to them via Amazon resellers 'a1 Toys' and they are very happy with him. Although Avalanche is the largest of the Mattel Die-cast toy Smokejumpers he fits perfectly into Cabbie's hold and rolls out if you tip the plane back with the cargo bay door open. My nephew subsequently bought Blackout with his own birthday money to increase Cabbie's play value (so he must like these Planes 2 toys). Sadly though none of the three Smokejumpers bits and bobs move about, they are all fixed, so you can't raise Avalanche's bulldozer shovel in this model or the circular sawblade in Blackout. The little wheels underneath the toys spin well though, and Cabbie can take all three Die-cast Smokejumpers. Avalanche is 1:55 scale and about 8cm long. All rather expensive at £8 per Smokejumper and £23 for Cabbie the transporter, but the toys are very well made by Mattel. This Avalanche is pretty tough and looks like he'll last, although the impressively large Cabbie transporter plane probably needs more handling with care. Still 4* for Avalanche. The Disney Planes 2 model 'oversize' collection also includes the helicopters Fire & Rescue Windlifter with Removable Tank and Fire and Rescue Blade Ranger , plus there's the much larger Disney Planes Fire and Rescue Smokejumpers that cost around £15 each and they don't fit into the Mattel Cabbie transporter toy (although their tools do move up and down).

Plane size
Package arrived on time and in good order. The plane it's self is approximately 3inches long x 3 inches wide x 11/2 inches high. Not the same as info given in "more info" on the order screen, Info given there is the overall package size, I had already picked on a previous buyer comment so maybe the seller could make this a little clearer. Other than that I am sure my grandson will be very happy.

Good product shame it’s not what I thought it was
Should remove the first photo as it’s misleading. The first photo shows a shiny gold and silver lead bottom plane which I purchased for my son, deeply disappointed when it arrived and it was the standard grey and yellow one which he already had. My fault I guess I should’ve looked through all the photos before purchase,

cute little vehicle
This completes my son's collection of fire and rescue toys. It is smaller than the other vehicles, but is in proportion. A little expensive, but that could be because it is hard to get hold of and is shipped from America. I am happy with the quality and am sure my son will love it.
