Will this work to get the dead skin off my elbow?

I think so. I get callouses on my finger and thumb and I used it on them and it worked. My advice is to use it after you have showered while the skin is moist for the best results.

Does this have a rough side and a smooth side ??

No, out Dr Scholls Nano Glass File does not have a rough and smooth side. However, we think you will find that the unique nano glass surface will do a great job of removing like a rough filt while smoothing the surface like a smoothing file. Let us know how you make out.

How long does one last

The Dr. Scholl's Hard Skin Remover Nano Glass Foot File is quite durable and if handled and cleaned after use should last for at least six months to a year or more depending upon your frequency of use.

Why is this a "Subscribe & Save" item with a recommended MONTHLY delivery frequency? My pedi-egg has lasted for years.

that's just probably an error in listing. truly I think this item will last for years.
