The new gold standard
Forget hanging around elevators to pick the brains of experts. Kevin Kruse has them all lined up and devoted to your cause. With a clever blend of Olympic athletes, billionaires, entrepreneurs and straight A students, a menu of strategies is presented by people who have provided thoughtful and insightful guidance into how they manage the overload of the demands on their time. Reading how students kept the temptations of youth and peer pressure in check was particularly humbling. Many time management authors write in a manner of being successful and doing six impossible things before breakfast and implying that by getting up half an hour before you go to bed and eating 3 shredded wheat that you will enjoy similar success. Although the author draws together common ingredients, the whole approach is to give you enough strategic varieties to be able to put that frog into a blender before you eat it. The book is about recognising what matters and fitting it into your timetable. Yes that's easier said than done but the experts in the book have it tougher than you and I but have still found time in their busy schedules to offer a ladder up and an outstretched arm. It would therefore be rude not to apply these techniques and to share them with others. This book is only suitable for those who want to leave their comfort zone but reassuringly it is more about "being more" than working even harder and sleep and balance feature prominently throughout. This is a book with high aspirations but yet is applicable to us ordinary fallible mortals. It is clear and readable, balanced and doable. There is no need to go out and buy courses, special equipment, software or go on a retreat. Just read and apply the techniques.

Ok, easy to read, helps you refocus but nothing groundbreaking
Easy to read and whilst I generally buy books and never find time to read them I did manage this one in a couple of evenings. You do get the sense this is a little American in style and some of the morning and evening routines did make me chuckle as a working mum.... the suggestions here are definitely written by a man who has a lot of disposable income to โoutsourceโ domestic life. However the male bias aside it does make you stop and think about how you can change a few small habits that make you a bit more organised if nothing else. Theme your time, diarise to do items, donโt write lists, donโt look at emails first thing etc. Most of which you likely already know but it makes you more conscious of these Hingis collectively. I wouldnโt say any of these ideas are new or groundbreaking and most can be found in different ways via LinkedIn pages on productivity. However I am glad I read it and it helped me put focus back on what Iโm doing

A very well research and thought out book that offers genuine and practical advice
I loved this book because it does a great job at, firstly, reassuring you that it's quality information. The author has obviously done his research and is genuinely passionate about what he's talking about. The 15 points are not sensational, but are realistic and practical. Unlike many other books of a similar nature, he is not merely talking at his readers to listen regardless to what he wants to say, but making a great case for why we should listen. I also like the pace of the book to, making me feel that I can dive in and out of it at leisure, which helps a great deal if I need a reminder or if I want to get into a productive mindset. I also recommend the audiobook

Practical tips you can implement immediately
Just finished the book today and regret leaving it so long to read it. Easy to read finished it in one day and have found a few things I can implement such as a calendar which is a significant change for me as I have been writing to-do lists for years wondering why I never finished them. The principle prioritising your most important task, sorting your emails and boosting your energy are just a few 'secrets' I found useful. I especially liked the the chapter on how to implement the tips and free workbook summarising key points. Concise and practical the best time management book I've read so far! Highly recommend :)

Good, but bit padded out with lots of showcasing and repetitions / blog, apps, and sites name dropping
I am halfway through this book. Would I recommend this book? Yes, there are some good tips and really makes you think about your time management and some good suggestions / mix of ways of doing things to try, and from that work out your best time management formula, one that works for you. Could the book be better complied/structured โ Yes, I would say half the text is a waste or repetitions, based on what I have read so far, I reckon it could easily fit in half the amount of words it currently is. Not great if you want to earn income from facebook etc for repetitive mentions / name dropping in the book, but from a readerโs perspective that type of style of book does not make for a good read. Bit ironic since it is a time management book And since people reading it are probably under time pressure / may want a quick more succinct read! Some of the repetition can be good for reinforcing some points, but the book was not set out in a way which helped reinforce the pertinent points, its more a repetition of what so and so said 5 or 10 chapters previously. Chapter 20 is especially tedious in this respect. Lots of โgrade Aโ college students saying generally the same thing, but in different words, or just repetitions of previous text. Half the text or at least a third of it, seems to be the intro of the person who the author is about to use input from. Often the book has felt like on big book of advertising, and people showcasing, who I expect in some way or another paid to feature in the book, or those who wanted to add to their personal promotion in any way they could. Which is fair enough in one respect, but ... Given it 3 stars, which is a shame as would haven given it 5 stars if not for the above. So far I have split it up in to 20 meaningful parts, but its very much a case of separating the wheat from the chaff and cobbling it together, but some good stuff though if you have time to do that. 1 - Time management and Setting priorities 2 - Managing yourself / your time via a schedule, time blocking etc 3 - Time blocking 4 - Procrastination 5 - Be the person you want to be / act like a person of that title would = helps avoid procrastination 6 - Perfect is no good, if you never finish it or you do not have a completion date 7 - Leaving at 5pm 8 - Managing your inbox / emails 9 - Making meeting time effective + daily huddles 10 - Saying no 11 โ The 80 / 20 โ the Pareto principle 12 - Outsource your work / tasks or delegate them. 13 - Drop, Delegate, Redesign 14 - Using Virtual assistants etc, leverage your time and use other peoples 15 - Theme your days 16 - One touch / donโt touch till ready 17 - Managing your email 18 - Morning routine/ritual โ first 1.5hrs after you get up 19 - Energy is everything โ Productivity is about energy and focus, not time. 20 - โYour operating systemโ โ Energy, Capture, Calendar, Concentrate

Highly recommend
Excellent book. Passed it on to my partner too. Highly motivating. Short sentences, that can be easily digested. I like best that it doesn't tell you what to do but said, this is what other people do, and why it seems to work for them. Whats not to like? Certainly felt I'm far more productive. I also liked that it wasn't just aimed at top business people, but through the examples given (even if they sometimes seemed a bit tried), it felt very inclusive. Very good book.

This book was one of the most practical and useful books I have ever read
15 Secrets by Kevin Kruse is one of those books that has the power to change your life immediately. He is a motivational speaker, as you can find out if you access the free videos. This book was one of the most practical and useful books I have ever read. The best thing you can do is ask the experts but not all of us have that kind of access or time but everything we could need is here in this easy and quick to read book with access to free posters to help you to organise your life and make better use of your own time. I recommend this for everyone. Even if you are doing quite well with time management Kevin Kruse will give you the reminders you need to tweak it and get back those areas that might be slipping away from you. I love it, and will use aspects of it regularly.
