Q: Will this ink show up on black paper?

They all do, but not all do it well. The lighter colors and the gold are the best for black paper.

Q: Is the ink in these pens water-based? I am looking for a pen that will not smear when the paper it is on gets wet.

I had a cup sweat on some papers and it didn’t smear per-say but it did Dan the ink out a little. I hope that makes sense.
