Can you really afford not to have a dash cam when they are this cheap and this good?
When they only cost ÂŁ25 for what is in essence a pretty good digital camera it seems silly not to look at owning a Dashcam. These devices can certainly help if you are ever unfortunate enough to be involved in a road traffic incident. This one has its own internal battery which does allow you use it when it is not being powered by your car. Lets start with the one thing that may give some customers a real problem, the in car power supply for this unit. In is an accessory socket mounted one as most and like most others it does not have a USB plug in the back so if you want to power multiple devices in your car you will need to provide for that. My car like quite a few happens to have two Accessory sockets so in one I have my 4 output iGOKU in car charger and in the other I have this dash cam so if I need to charge my phone or use it as a SatNav I'm OK. There are of course other options you could b uy one of the gadgets that you plug in to one accessory socket that provides 4 sockets and use on of the other oputlets for an in car charger or if you have a multi output in car charger you could buy a long (12 foot) USB A to mini B cable to power the dash cam. Now I have dealt with the one issue lets looks at this camera. It is full HD but of course also has a very wide angle lens so it really is intended for one job only as a dash cam but it will take photos too and it does feel nice to use as a camera than a phone. Like most of these cameras it will automatically start when you turn on the ignition and start recording. If your car is one which has the accessory socket always powered you can of course use the ON/OFF button to power down the camera or better yet unplug it and plug it back in when you next drive. The camera does according to the instruction have UV lights for filming at night. I have not yet tried these. It writes AVI files to a micro SDHC card which you will need to buy, get a class 10 or better. I have in this review clipped a still from the sequence I used at the end of my video and cropped out a number plate which is quite legible. This is important because if you have an accident it can be quite useful to have proof of the identity of the other cars involved.. The charger cable I mentioned above is about 12 feet long and in my truck, an Isuzu Rodeo it is more than long enough to route round the window out of the driver's eye line. One last little beef, the type in the exploded diagram really is much too small you will need not only your reading glasses but a magnifying glass or of course you could photograph the diagram and zoom in. I mananged to figure it out in the end though.

Great quality and sturdy build for the price!
Pros: 1) The body is made out of metal and is very sturdy. 2) The included accessories are very useful and the included car charger has a very long cable providing enough cable to route neatly. 3) The clamp is also very sturdy and provides enough seal to keep it on even when driving over bumps. 4) The screen is nice and big and is very clear. 5) The buttons are all nice and tactile and the menu is very easy to navigate through. 6) The video quality is good for the price and I don't think you can get much better than this. It is clear enough to view number plates of cars which are close but not as clear to view them when they are far away. (Video is attached but quality is not as original since Amazon degrades video quality) 7) There is a G-sensor which detects a change in G force if for example you get into a major crash. This sensor makes the file recorded locked and it cannot be overwritten. This is very useful as it protects the files. 8) Audio is also recorded if for example a fight consisting an argument breaks out. Some crashes might be intentional and therefore if it was ill intended with the people involved having an argument, it can be very useful. (Audio in video is removed) Cons: 1) The SD card memory has to be a maximum of 32GB. This can be a bit unsettling considering that 21 minutes of recording was around 2.6GB. 2) The body gets very hot since it is coloured black and might be too hot to touch sometimes. This can be a bit annoying as where I live, we have very high temperatures and it will easily get hot. All in all a very good dashcam for the price and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a budget dashcam!

Good solid camera
I bought this to replace an old dashcam which had died a while ago, and I have been pleaseantly surprised but this one! This offers great value with all the features you need. Setup is very easy, I would reccomend you just spend a few minutes to read the guide so that you can set the date/time and car details (number plate) in the menus and then you will be good to go. The camera will start when you start the vehicle as long as you don't have a permenant live 12v ligher socket, or you could hard wire this easily with a suitable kit from your fusebox, which is what I have chosen due to the permenant live socket in my car. Image quality is decent, I have been driving over the past few days in poor weather conditions (dull and overcast) and the camera performs perfect. Viewing angle is suitably wide so you can get a clear shot of both sides of the road so you shouldn't miss anything. I'm also using a known brand of 32gb micro-sd card which is a Class 10 and the camera works fine. The device also feels well built, feels heavy compared the other one I had previous, suggesting it has a metal chassis to disperse any heat generated. You get the camera, a long cable and 12v adapter as well as the suction mount. This does support full HD resolution as well as lower resolutions such as 720p and VGA. You can also turn off the audio recording if you prefer.

Video review
This is my first ever dashcam and Im really glad I finally got around to purchasing one!! Wherever I go the dashcam goes so its not left in my car on display overnight The only issue I have is that the feed/cam can get very shaky and Im not sure if this is my fault for not securing it well or if this is normal. Also the instruction manual could be better, but aside from that Im very happy and would recommend this dash cam wholeheartedly. It does take a lot of fiddling around with the settings (to change the date, RGB etc) but you will get there in the end. Its default date is 2015 which I didnt change at the time of the recording (when you can see me battling with the snow in the video attached looool)

Very clear and a very large display
Very easy to set up and the suction mount is very secure. The screen is much clearer compares to my 2 years old dash cam. The picture quality is so good I have been using it as a vlog camera hooked up to a power bank. Having one of this in my car gives us a sense of security incase anything happens we will have a record of it. Once set up it will just run and write over the oldest footage when the card is full etc.

The camera is useless, the battery only last 20 seconds when you turn off the engine, the window fixing just falls of and time and date need program needs reprogramming after each jurney, reverts to default settings 2015, the camera turns of itself while driving. The product is not EU standard and worthless. Don't purchase!

Fully featured, great quality
Fully featured dash cam as a brilliant price. Does everything I want it to do. Only complaint is that bracket attaching to the cam is not a perfect fit.

.

Dies sollte man vorher bedenken.
