These.Are.Awesome.
I'm so impressed with these headphones for the price. I'd never have given anything Lindy branded a chance, had I not seen the 5 star review of these from What Hi-Fi. However, I'm so glad I did, as I nearly spent £300 on a pair of Bose QC35's, when really I just needed to block out office chatter at work. Saying they're "good for the price" is actually doing them a total disservice, as I think I would still consider these very good at twice the price. I very nearly got suckered into a pair of AKG's at £160 until I read a detailed negative buyer review from somebody who'd clearly spent some time with them. I'm very glad I got this Lindy pair instead at half the price. I've been wearing these during the day at work for 3 days now and haven't felt the need to take them off for any reason. The ANC blocks out constant background noise such as the whirring of fans in nearby computers. The sound isolation is good enough to reduce office chatter and general noises to a level where it is unnoticeable when music is played at a low volume. Music can be appreciated at a very low volume as the sound quality is so good. Pros: Price, comfort, sound quality, battery life. Cons: If I were to be super-critical, I'd say: 1. The rotary volume control feels a little cheap. 2. The USB socket is angled towards the front when worn the correct way round (left ear / right ear), so the USB lead dangles in front of your face if you try to use them while on charge (I got around this by wearing them the wrong way round while on charge). 3. There's no audible warning when the battery is about to run out. I've just been listening to dance music, then suddenly they cut out and everyone in the office was listening to dance music being played via my computer's tinny internal speaker until I realised what had happened. I'll put them on charge towards the end of the day when I put them down in future. None of these cons are enough to dissuade me from what are an excellent pair of headphones. The best pair I've ever owned and an unexpectedly excellent purchase.

Genuinely surprised by how good these are!
Having bought Lindy cabling for years and having been given a £50 voucher to put towards something I decided to look at wireless headphones and these popped up. First up I love how there's loads of accessories included so you don't have to fart around trying to find where to buy x, y, z. Very thankful of that. Second up these work really nicely considering how 'cheap' they are. Once paired any other time you switch them on they'll pair in a second or two where some bluetooth devices I've used sit for ages and eventually don't connect (Hi Sennheiser!). I'll admit my previous experiences with wireless stuff has been the reason I've tried to avoid it, these have kinda changed my mind a bit. The option of using them in the various modes is great so if you choose to plug them into something you can just use them as normal headphones. You can use them wired with noise cancelling and the battery lasts ages. Using them in full wireless, noise cancelling mode the battery still lasts a good length of time, I bought them to use on a flight and the battery life full wireless and noise cancelling covers that easily. Sound in non-cancelling mode is a little muted, like you're listening through a woolly hat but you don't buy them to use as normal headphones, that's just another nice little feature. Once the noise cancelling switch is flipped on they actually sound pretty decent again considering the price of them, top end is good, they have a nice amount of low end and it isn't blown out like some headphones. I mostly use them wandering around the house, making dinner, cleaning etc so I don't have to put the stereo on. For the money these are a pretty great buy, I'm not sure I can fault them on anything other than the sound when the noise cancelling is turned off but that means you just turn it on and fix your 'problem' instantly.

Good all round headphones for noise cancelling.
Are you too trapped in an office full of middle aged women nattering inane nonsense? Are you too feeling like you want to bang your head repeatedly on the desk until you are still? Then look no further. I got these as I work as a secretary, and the office I work in is loud and distracting. The standard issue headphones just didn’t cut it. So I got these. I was apprehensive as the price was quite steep, but honestly they have been worth every penny. Included in the box are the headphones themselves, a mini usb cable to charge, an aux cable (which I use to attach to my computer and type) and a fancy hard case which makes transporting them a breeze. They feel very premium and strongly made. The provided aux cable is quite short. It only manages just enough reach for me sitting at my desk, though you can pick up longer cables inexpensively through Amazon of course. For my usage it suffices. Audio quality is good; the noise cancellation works very well. You don’t really realise how much white noise you’re surrounded with until you start using noise cancelling headphones. For instance the whir of printers, air conditioning, and computers is cut nearly entirely. The babble of your average office is also greatly reduced. Notice I didn’t say removed entirely. A little switch on the side of the headphones can be pressed and a little blue light comes on to let you know noise cancelling is active. I noticed that when listening to music, it becomes quite muddy. The noise cancelling feature produces a kind of constant low level whooshing which is good at removing the outside noise but at a cost to audio quality. For audio typing though, where audio quality is more about just hearing the spoken word, I found them more than adequate. I imagine they would be brilliant for audiobooks if that’s your thing. For listening to dictations, they’re great and have saved me so much stress. Before listening to co workers was like having an ice pick rammed into the temples. I can still hear them, but it feels like they’re far away down a corridor and they bother much less now. My sanity has been preserved for now. Bluetooth functionality is good. I noticed it was much easier to connect using an iPhone 7 Plus as opposed to a Samsung 8; though as to why that is I could say. One negative I also picked up on is that the headphones do not give much room - they have only minimal extra give by pulling down the ear covers. It sometimes feels as if my head has been squashed if I wear them for long periods of time, and they press on the arms of my glasses. If you have ear piercings in the cartilage area, these also press quite firmly on those areas at the top of your ear. Might be something to keep in mind. All in all these are very good, and worth it if you’re working in the middle of a brass band like me.

Satisfied overall
Here's my main thoughts after having these for a couple weeks now: - Sound quality is pretty good. Nothing to write home about but what you'd expect I guess. - Noise cancelling isn't anything special. For starters, these headphones don't keep the noise within your ears, so at any high volumes (for music, tv etc.) anyone around you is going to hear it. The noise cancelling itself just makes the volume higher as far as I can tell. It does work pretty well for blocking out outside noise though, to a level where you may hear a few outside noises but it won't be noticeable or annoying. - Battery seems really good. I haven't been constantly using them but I literally haven't charged these since taking them out the box and they're still fine two weeks later. - Comfort isn't great. I have a fairly big head and these can get somewhat uncomfortable quite quickly. They don't extend that much so the top part can start digging into my head if I want them to be fully over my ears. - The buttons are good. I love the range of buttons. That was one of the main appeals, you can literally do everything on the headphones; volume up-down buttons and a separate volume slider, skip track forward or back, pause, noise cancelling, accept calls. The buttons don't stick out, which is annoying when you're tryna use them on your head, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. - Bluetooth connection: they connect immediately when you turn them on which is very nice. Other people have mentioned how there's no button to disconnect the Bluetooth on the headphones, so in theory when you turn them on they might connect to the last connected device (presuming it is on and has Bluetooth on) and you'd have to go find the device and disconnect. This hasn't happened to me at all and I can't imagine it realistically being an issue outside of very specific scenarios. Overall happy with these. The comfort is the only real issue I have, so if you need something really comfortable and you have a big head you might want to steer away from these. Otherwise they're a good pair of headphones

Value for money
Stumbled across these when looking for wireless alternative to my Bose AE2 phones. I can't justify the price of the Bose QC35, brilliant though they may be, and these were listed as best noise cancelling wireless under £100 in What Hifi. Never heard of them but an Amazon warehouse deal made them less of a risk. Comfort - not as light and soft as the Bose but still good. I could do with them being a tiny bit bigger around the ears but they're fine. Sound - with noise cancelling off they are terrible but switch it on and it's very good. My Bose are probably a smidgen better but not so much so that I've felt I should revert to those instead. The NC certainly cuts out some background noise, too, but given the poor quality of sound in passive mode, I treat the NC switch just like another power on/off - you would not use these with it 'off'. Volume control on the phones is great. These are paired with a Bluetooth transmitter connected to the "tape out" terminal of my hifi amplifier so bypasses the amp volume control. Full volume is plenty loud enough and isn't distorted. What else? aptX is there, too, if you need it (not on Bose QC35, though). At just under £70, there is nothing to complain about here.

Brilliant overall headphones
These are one of my best purchases of the past few years. I still use them daily, can spend about an hour on my commute using them. I only need to charge them up once a week, which is wonderful. If I made this review a few weeks ago, I would've complained as my right ear pad had ripped and has exposed the padding. I've just found that you can buy replacement pads for around £8 and they're stupidly easy to replace too, just pull them out and put the new one back in. I'm not sure how this compares to other similar priced headphones, but I wouldn't be surprised if this doesn't happen on a pair of beats or whatever. The sound quality competes with my wired stereo headphones, but not quite got that overall depth. Still brilliant for the price. I don't really rate the noise cancellation function, it rather expectedly, muddies the sound quality. I think without this function works just fine. If you're after a strong paid of headphones that are tough, come with a great protection case, have good battery life and sound brilliant, these are absolutely a no-brainer. I will probably update this review when/if my pair ever die off as I will be buying these headphones again!

Okay for average uses
At first glance these headphones are quite nice, the design is clean and not too bulky. For the price you seem to get a lot for your money. They come in a nice hard case with a few different cables and attachments. Easy enough to pair to my phone. Put them on and they comfortable and feel quiet solid on your head. No complaints so far. I thought i'd try without the noise cancelling first. So I started by playing some rock and was immediately disappointed. It's just so muddy. Activate the noise cancelling and it brightens it up, but more it's too much the opposite at times and sounds a bit thin. It would be nice if they could reduce the bass and up the mid/highs when ANC is off. Instead I have had to do this on my phone and unfortunately by default without other apps you can't do this using Bluetooth, only the cable as using Bluetooth bypasses the phone DAC and uses the headphones DAC instead. These are definitely suited to some music styles more than others. I wouldn't recommend for rock where as EDM is well suited imo. When using the ANC, during quiet parts it really picks up people talking. My old set didn't have ANC but they blocked a lot more noise in an office environment. Not bad for music, but if listening to a podcast or an Audiobook, it's not quite as good. I find myself turning ANC off and using the cable rather than Bluetooth in these situations. Overall these are very cheap when compared to other Bluetooth/NAC sets, so you have to expect the sound quality to be inferior. I sent them back as I just couldn't live with these. The e noise cancelling wasn't great and made your head feel like it was in a vacuum. Listening while walking results in the plastic creaking so loud it interfered with what I was listening to. I ended up buying Sony wh900n's for 180. Over double the price but over twice as good. Sound great wired, wireless, noise cancelling on or off. Noise cancelling is better and also doesn't make your head feel strange. I can't recommend these Lindy headphones at all. They do some things great but the most important thing is sound quality and they are just so bad. I read reviews and thought they'd be reasonable but not mind-blowing. So let down. When using Bluetooth I used aptx.

Noise cancellation less apparent than I first thought
Headphones pair easily via Bluetooth. The isolation from the ear muffs is very good and with noise cancellation on and volume at a comfortable level 80+% of external sound removed. So I can watch my iPad videos or listen to music whilst my wife watches tv. Sound quality is quite good with noise cancellation on. Without noise cancellation the sound quality is surprisingly dull and I would hate to listen to music with them like that but with noise cancellation on they are fine. Build quality seems fine and they are very comfortable to wear. My only concern is how long the noise cancellation switch will last.....it is a tiny slide switch and annoyingly has to be switched off separately to the main headphone switch (for wireless). I think these are minor design flaws which could be rectified on future models. If you forget to switch the noise cancellation switch to ‘off’ when you finish using the headphones then your battery will tapidly discharge. UPDATE After a couple of weeks I am less impressed with the active noise cancelling capability. Whilst the headphone sound is improved (mids and highs are better) and apparently at least the volume is increased as well when noise cancelling switched on. However I don’t hear much improvement in isolation, it may work better on continuous level background noise but it does little to cancel noise from the tv in the room. On reflection I think that some normal closed back headphones would have done the same job and would have been cheaper. A bit disappointed as I expected better performance.
