Solidly built, bright, all working, slightly whiter than 2700K
I purchased 3 packs of these to replace all my halogen landscape lighting bulbs. The bulbs are well protected in the packaging and are solidly built - they don't feel cheap at all. I used 14 of the 18 bulbs and all of them worked. The housing is metal with fins on the edge for heat dissipation. The bulbs I purchased are the 5W version which is rated as 35W equivalent for halogen. It's a bit brighter than I would have wanted considering I'm replacing 20W halogen bulbs (ideally I would have wanted an LED bulb around 3.5W to match the same brightness as my old 20W halogens but I couldn't find any on Amazon). The color temperature is pretty good too; slightly whiter than 2700K - I'd say it's closer to 3000K, but still looks good in the yard at night. I can't comment on longevity because I just installed them. Someone was asking if they are dimmable...they aren't technically dimmable in terms of being able to change their brightness, but they can take reduced power (down to 7W) and still maintain similar brightness. Overall, they seem like a good bulb and they work well. Hopefully they last a long time! [UPDATE] After 6 months of use in my outdoor landscape lights, I have still not had 1 of these lights burn out yet and I have 17 of them in use. I live in Canada, so they have survived the summer heat and so far in the early winter they have survived freezing point weather just fine. No complaints at all thus far.

RELIABLE OUTDOOR LIGHTBULB FOR HOT WEATHER
It took me hours of research before I decide to make this purchase. It's quite difficult to get a quality MR16 outdoor landscape light that can tolerate the AZ weather. I was concerned because the package says the light bulbs operates up to 40 degree C, which is only approximately 104 degree F. That's just not enough for Arizona. During summer time, we will have to deal with monsoon, dust storm and extreme heat at 119 degree. In short, I bought it and all the lightbulbs survived all the above. I am very satisfied with my purchase. I also want to thank all of those who responded to my questions on Amazon as they helped my purchasing decision. I only have one minor complaint - I ended up purchasing two packages, and one arrived pretty beat up...so bad to the point that I wasn't sure if the product is damaged. It's not shipping's fault. Package itself needs improvement, period. Otherwise, this is a quality item at a reasonable price. UPDATE - It turned out that Amazon shipped me a returned box instead of new. This is somewhat taken care of. The lightbulbs still worked great after a few thunderstorms, so they are strongly recommended.

Bright but I wish they were a little more yellow instead of white

Works when others won’t!
We’ve got outdoor low-voltage lighting with Pro-Trade fixtures, and at the farthest end of the string (maybe 150 feet from the transformer) the MR16 bulbs we had were super dim or didn’t light up at all. On a whim we tried red and green bulbs from Alide (for the holidays) and they worked! So now that the holiday season is over, we’ve swapped in these warm white bulbs from Alide and they also put out normal brightness. Both the old bulbs and the Alide ones are 5W/12V, so I don’t know why these work and the others don’t, but just happy they do. If you have a similar situation, maybe try these bulbs. They cost slightly more than the cheaper ones we were using, but it’s plenty worth it since they actually light up properly.

CAUTION - high failure rates and maybe a fire hazard issue
I have over 100 landscape lighting fixtures over my 5-acre property and over the years have used many different brands of LED bulbs with varying degrees of satisfaction... until I found ALIDE. I now use these bulbs exclusively in their various 3w, 5w, and 7w models. The color temperature is just right, and the longevity has been far better than any other brand I've tried. These are excellent! UPDATE 6/10/24: Strike the above. I'm sad to say that my experience with Alide lights has completely erased my recommendations and goodwill for their product. As noted, I have a LOT of low-voltage landscape lights and until this review Alide was my go-to supplier; however, I've been having a lot of problems with recent batches, some of them potentially serious: 1. Longevity is a problem. It is true that I have some Alide bulbs in fixtures that I haven't replaced in 3-4 years! At an average of 6 hours a day this equates with a lifespan of 6,500-7,000 hours. That's not the "25,000 hour" lifespan most LED manufacturers tout all the time, but it's certainly respectable. Unfortunately, of the past 4-5 cases of lights I've ordered, they are burning up sometimes in a matter of every few months - so using the same math this equates with a life expectancy of only 500 hours, which is NOT acceptable. I wrote to Alide and then said they did have some batches in production with issues... which, well that's fine and all, but that doesn't help me as a customer who's spent good money on a product that until recently was worthy of my purchase (and no offer was made to replace any of the "bad" cases of bulbs - so that's about $150 or more of my spending "wasted" on a faulty product). 2. HEAT - and fire hazard! Here's the real problem I'm worried about: I've had 6-7 examples recently where the bulbs have failed but only in a partial way. For example, the 5W bulb has four (4) LEDs on the chip, and half of them are failing - so two remain lit and the other two are "burnt out". What's happening here though is that the bulb is becoming incredibly hot! I had to remove three of them with heavy gloves because they were literally "burn the skin" hot. The fixtures they were in are heavy cast brass with ceramic MR16 sockets, so they tolerated the heat without literally melting, but had they been less robust fixtures then melting and a fire risk are very real possibilities. I have eight cases of these left and I'm honestly not sure if I'm going to use them or just toss them out but in any case I need to find a different LED bulb supplier for my landscape lights.
