Will this mask sustain a light blow to the face with a ball? I'm just learning how to spin poi but had facial surgery and can't take a hit to the face

I use this face shield when working on a wood lathe, so only small wood chips hit the shield. The shield is attached only to the headband, so any heavy object would probably press the shield onto your face, so to be safe I’d get something else. Also, I suggest contacting the manufacturer if you are still interested in using this shield,

I want to use this for working with table saw and other woodworking equipment. How well would this shield against impact of wood?

That is exavtly what I use mine for and it works well. Sawdust, it will handle well. Small chips and fragments should be fine; but it will not stop kickback from your table saw!

can prescription glasses be worn underneath?

Yes, I wear glasses and there is plenty of room. I actually removed the chin guard and used it as a Covid shield. Little heavy, but least I could breathe. No mask.
