These taste like fish! And they cost a lot of money I wanted neutral tasting tempura flakes just for crunch. Very disappointed!

Very good and a must for adding variety to sushi. Texture akin to Rice Krispies, but different and great taste. Must be added to sushi and eaten within an hour or so, or will take up water and get soggy. Store in a tightly sealed contaiuner.

These are really tasty and addictive. They are crunchy and crispy. They have many uses, they can be eaten as is like a snack or add to noddle, salad, sushi etc.. However, this one seems to be the original flavor because there isn't any squid flavor to it. I've had another one before with very strong squid flavor. They are still very delicious, just wish they could have stronger squid flavor.

I was very disappointed to get these with only 1 month from expiration date, they also had a strong fish smell- so I decided to just toss them

I recently got obsessed with Marugame Udon and I wanted to recreate that style at home. While searching for the tempura toppings (because I'm way too lazy to make them myself), I found this one! I gave it a try and made some curry udon with these and fresh green onions as my toppings and it was SO good. Obviously not exactly the same as the ones from the restaurant, but it's actually so good. I would say these have a bit more of a fish-umami like taste almost like the flakes or hondashi, if you're familiar with those. I would highly recommend and would definitely repurchase!

Quart size bag a bit pricey.
