Q: Would these be good on long hair?

Yes!! Mine is only medium length, but my BFF who was the one who turned me on to this straightener has hair all the way to her bum. Her hair is always beautiful & shiny! I've had expensive straighteners over 150 before, but this is best I've ever had!!

No it dosent, i iron my wife's hair. It's a good product.

Q: Are they comfortable to hold?

I find them easy and comfortable to hold. And as the handle is long less chances of handling hot handles.
