Bosch ART 26-18 LI 18 V/2.5 A Grass Trimmer with 26 cm Cutting Diameter

I noticed that this had some negative reviews so I thought I would try to offer an alternative view. For me this is a terrific cordless strimmer, quiet and light with a head that adjusts through 90 degrees for vertical edging. It uses a plastic blade rather than nylon line. It comes without a battery or charger, which seems to be one reason why this particular model has some low scores. Perhaps Amazon could make it clear that no battery or charger is provided on this particular model which is why it is a fair bit cheaper. As I already had the charger and two batteries for my Bosch leaf blower this fits perfectly with my other Bosch tools. The assembly instructions could be a little bit clearer but it is easily assembled in a few minutes with the help of a narrow flat-bladed screwdriver. Two screws secure the black cicular guard onto the head. Then the blade holder just clicks on. In action it is excellent, for the first time I was able to edge my lawn with ease and I completed it very quickly. I clobbered the wall a couple of times but the Durablade is intact, if a bit scarred on the tip. The strimmer is light to hold, it is easy to adjust the handle length and the battery seems to last for a good while. I've found in the past that doing the edges of the grass typically takes almost as long as mowing the whole lawn but this tool has made the job a lot easier. The best bit about it is that is light enough for my wife to use and she can clip the edges whilst I mow the lawn - perfect.

I got this to replace a corded line strimmer . It's so much better IMOas theres no cord.and the weight isnt much more. I use it all around a large ( 1/3 acre) wooded garden . including a wild flower patch with grass about 20 inches high. It will jam up and bog down easily if you attack the long grass at the base when its this length - but if you skim off the top of the grass in a sweeping motion it works fine - so the technique is to skim off the top-several passes and reduce the length this way. This way the blade lasts for a good while. The battery also fits the hedge trimmer.

Lightweight and easy to use. Does a good job on long grass, weeds, brambles etc. Not a heavy duty brush cutter, but for general weeds n stuff it's great. Battery recharges very quickly too.

The item is light weight and does exactly what it was bought for, trimming grass! that is until the cutting blade becomes useless. The item is supplied with two blades and believe me after being used only twice and trimming no more than 32 mtr of lawn edging they are both USELESS. Come on BOSCH, YOU CAN DO BETTER.

Very little power, doesn't cut that well. It's just about ok for trimming a bit of grass but you can't easily see where the edge of the cut is (it doesn't really line up with the guard) so it's tricky to cut up to walls without damaging the blade. The (replaceable) blade breaks quite easily so you'll need more of those (only 2 in the box). You can turn it over to cut an edge but it's clearly not designed to work that way. It loses power when it touches the soil and again you're likely to break the blade pretty soon. There's an extra wire guard that can be moved around but it's not clear what it's supposed to do. I bought it because I have lots of other power4all tools - but this one doesn't live up to the name. I honestly regret buying it.

What a machine. I love this strimmer, the blade design is really good, no more lines that don’t work very well. Does the job, I am very pleased with it. Great product, very easy to put together, shame the battery didn’t come with it. But still worth the money.

Battery lasts longer...but blade not as durable as claimed... but works well so far.

I'm a big Bosch fan, everything from our kettle to the fridge, oven, washing machine, even my drills but I'm sorry to say that this strimmer is just not up to their usual standard. I find it really hard and clunky to use, you never quite know exactly where the blade is going to cut and then it hits the path or the concrete and the noise it makes is godawful. However, the worst part of all is the plastic blades - clearly introduced solely so that Bosch can continue to make money from the product 'in-life' they are just so much harder to use than a nylon line trimmer and if you need to trim up to hard surfaces you'll be lucky to get more than 20 metres out of each blade - which at the price makes them significantly more expensive than nylon line. Two stars for build quality and battery life but not exactly a cheap product and sadly I am seriously regretting spending so much on such a fatally flawed product. Quite disappointed that Bosch would release a product so far short of their usually very high standard!

Bon produit pour l'utilité que j'en ai à savoir couper l'herbe autour des arbustes , arbres , massif de fleurs avant la tonte avec tondeuse . Pour moi ce qui est important c'est le poids car j'ai des problèmes de lombalgie et avec cet appareil je ne ressens pas de douleur pendant la coupe. Seul bémol un peu bruyant mais avec un casque anti bruit cela ne pose plus de problème

Top-Gerät. Leider war Amazon nicht in der Lage das Gerät mit einem EU-Stecker zu versenden. Nach mehrmaligem Umtausch, habe ich mir einen EU-Stecker dazu gekauft

Ich habe nach vier Jahren neu bestellt, da die untere Abdeckung bei der Schraube abgebrochen war. Es ist super, dass es auch ohne Akku kaufen geht, da ich eins schon habe. Ich habe das Gerät gar nicht geschont und nicht nur Gras damit geschnitten. Nachteil ist, dass die Abdeckung nicht extra zu kaufen ist, mindestens ich habe keine gefunden. Sehr leicht, praktisch, gutes Handling beim Arbeiten, ich würde es weiter empfehlen.

Apparaat is niet krachtig genoeg om te trimmen. Valt bij enig weerstand stil. Steeds weer opnieuw starten is niet wat je wilt. Accupack is ook echt te licht. Ik zeg niet kopen.
