Superb BFS reel out of the box.
After watching some reviews of the new version of this reel I bought a pair. The reel has now been updated, and it is well worth buying the new Pro reel. I bought it with two spools one shallow for BFS and one deeper.The reel comes in a good quality box with the reel held in foam, the big brands could learn to pack reels like this, as these baitcasters rotate in their boxes during delivery which could lead to damage. There is no need to change the bearings, the spool bearings are very good. The bearings are very easy to remove should you want or need to replace them, just be aware there is a side plate bearing retention spring that needs to be removed.

The reel works outstanding,I have at least 50 different setups and I would rank this up there with my expensive ones,I have 2 solo king reels,brownie also,I enjoy both but cannot rate on longevity,only time will tell,but as you can see in the photo,the reel looks like it bounced around in the back of someone’s pickup,it was upside down in the box improperly and packaged incorrectly,doesn’t say much for your quality control,should never have been shipped!

Defective SIDE PLATE BEARING
Purchased Doviello HICC 50 SoloKing Acura reel after many rave reviews of its function and reliability. On the recommendation of experienced BFS anglers I ordered RORO LURE bearings to replace the factorybearings. Once i opened the reel, the SIDE PLATE BEARING could not be removed! I used the RORO BEARING PULLER TOOL with no success and other tools. The factory bearing will not budge! Now I am stuck with adefective side plated bearing that can not be replaced or returned. My reel is three days past the return date.THANKS AMAZON. I coud have done better on Ali Express! buyer beware

Does what I ordered it for, at a great price!
I'm new to BFS fishing, but this fits a style of equipment I have wanted to try on large, native stream trout for over 40 years.

Cheap bfs
This little reel worked great with 6lb braid. Used it with a trout magnet as a test all the way to rooster tail spinners. It can be found for cheaper often if you wait, but I'm glad I got it for fall trout in Colorado.
