Could be good
I trade records and laserdiscs all of the time and am constantly using record mailers. I have tried all sorts of them and these fall in the middle. One really positive thing about these mailers is they weigh 4.5oz as opposed to the thicker ones that weigh 5.2oz. I have gotten records that have weighed 16.5oz after I have put them in a mailer so this could keep me from going over a pound.i use backers whenever I mail things and they fit fine inside of the mailer. The mailer folds fine and you can easily adjust the mailer in whatever way you want it. You get two sizes of thickness to choose from as well. The mailers are well made. They are thinner then normal but the cardboard is sturdy and if you drop two backers in it it will be fine. These are ok mailers. There are better. There are even cheaper ones out there. This one has the advantage of being lighter then most and even .5oz can make a difference in shipping costs.

Better Options Available For Shipping Records
This shipping box is about 1/4" short of 12 1/2". This matters because many of the albums do not fit squarely within the fold lines, causing the edges of the record to protrude beyond the fold line. This creates a condition where the record is pressed too tightly against the sides, the box does not close squarely, and gaps exist in the corners. As such, excessive amounts of tape are required to secure the box to ensure the records arrive as promised. Every then, risk of corner damage exists due to the tight nature of the box.

VERY Thin - Not like the LP Shipping Mailers you are used to
I bought these in a pinch as I ran out of mailers and needed some ASAP. There weren't many options that has Prime shipping and I didn't want to wait a week or more for delivery. Unfortunately these mailers are extremely thin and flimsy! BUYER BEWARE!

These Could Have Been Great
I'm a record re-seller, so I'm always on the lookout for great supplies for shipping my precious vinyl safely and professionally.I wanted to like these, but - unfortunately - there is a glaring design flaw that makes these almost unusable. I'll explain:These mailers are 12.5x12.5, so there is very little room for stabilizing the item as this leaves a mere .025 clearance on each side for the actual record. As you can see from the pics provided, this causes the record to rest practically flush up against the packaging. No one would EVER ship an album like this as this would GUARANTEE damage to the album. In addition, at this price point, there are numerous, better quality competitors offering way better options. I cannot recommend these for shipping albums.
