Top machine
Bought this on Prime day this year. Got it from Warehouse deals where they offered me an extra 20% off the warehouse price so for the money I paid it was an absolute steal and was in perfect condition. Anyway, the options you have are to make coffee, or espresso. Cleaning is clearly shown on the machine and it does rinse itself quite a bit so keeps clean for normal day to day usage. If anything the only thing you need to keep on top on is if you're using the milk attachment which I would say clean every day you use it because of sour milk residue etc.Bad points -1) I did find it annoying that I had to shell out an extra 50 quid for the professional milk foam frother so that I could do a latte with hot milk, rather than the built in milk foam frother that just makes a milk foam. If you use the built in attachment for milk you can only really do a cappuccino, and have to buy the attachment to do a latte.2) The Jura official cleaning items are quite expensive - that said I wouldn't buy anything else. It does do the job.3) The drip tray seems to get very full, even when you leave a cup underneath the spout for when not in use. (The machine rinses on power on and power off every time)4) Would be nice to have an LCD screen but thats just me and liking gadgets. I know the better models do have this for more cost5) Would have been nice to be able to do 'latte art' with the milk frother, but with the design of the machine that's not possible. Not a deal breaker by any stretch, but would of been a nice to have.Good Points1) The coffee it makes is amazing - and that's the most important point. It comes out looking like a mini glass of guinness.2) Very easy to use3) Configurable drinks sizes and strengths in the options for defaults, but also allows you to change the size and strength as the drink is being made for a one-off.All in all an awesome coffee machine. Although I listed more bad than good points, the main thing is that the coffee is perfect and consistent drink after drink. We live in an area where the water is soft enough to not need a filter and the water hardness testing strip you get with the machine lets you know if you can benefit the same. The Jura E6 is out now which might be better more recent model but I can see this one lasting for years to come.

Simple to use, makes great coffee
It’s a really nice machine that is simple to use and importantly, produces great coffee. It was particularly good value as I got a warehouse deal and the only mark was a sticker on the front. The only drawback is the beam hopper is pretty small compared to what I’m used to, but you can’t have everything. Recommended.

Ease of use, convenience and consistency - at a price
Have been through a few coffee machines, from the standard percolator (cheap but time consuming), to the pods (very convenient, but pods can be pricey and not very eco-friendly).This machine takes coffee preparation to a new level price-wise and in terms of getting coffee your exact requirements. It's pretty pricey I guess given you could buy a grinder or pre-ground beans and get espresso machine but it is very tidy. Just pull the bottom out and empty the used grounds and drip tray every couple of days. Has a water filter in it too which you would buy replacements for (probably quite expensive) but you can use without it and we filter our water anyway. Little milk tube (which you connect if you want milk pulled through the frother immediately hot) is a bit tricky to clean if I was being picky but not sure there is a solution to that. All round it's super convenient for someone that can afford it and wants fresh ground coffee in the morning quickly. What I like most is that, once you've sourced your favourite beans and set your preferred strength, amount (espresso/lungo) and temperature, it will give you consistent results cup after cup. Also has automatic shut off, and the bypass chute allows you to make a decaff without emptying the bean hopper. Setting up a descaling cycle will remind you when to descale according to the hardness of the water. Coffee grinds are deposited into a removable chamber. The thermoblock heater and 15 bar pressure should ensure the process gets more flavour out of the coffee beans. You can certainly find cheaper machines that will do a similar job but, if it proves to be as durable as I would expect, I can't fault its ease of use and efficiency.

Good machine but has some quirks
I bought this to replace an old and much-loved Magimix Robot Cafe which was apparently made by Jura. It's good, but there are a couple of things I wish I'd known before I bought it. 1) The power button is on the top towards the back, so watch out if you're installing it under a snug shelf. 2) The bean holder doesn't quite hold a whole standard 240g supermarket bag of coffee. 3) It auto-rinses at every opportunity - when you switch it on, but also when it goes from standby into power-off. They tell you to empty the drip (torrent?) tray every day. I just keep a spare cup under the spout. But it means you're topping up the tank quite often (again, they tell you to do this every day).Positives: 1) Everything is adjustable, from water hardness (I use soft mineral water) to size of cup. A hardness test strip is supplied. 2) There's an extra-hot setting. 3)The milk-frothing tube attachment really is a doddle to use. I lost the little stopper within a day but it doesn't seem to matter. 4) It really does look as good as the pictures suggest - the display in particular is both simple, effective and alluring. 5) The coffee is good.
