Fast, switchable, and space-saving—SABRENT’s 4-port hub nails USB expansion with clean control.
⚡ SABRENT USB 3 Hub – Full Review This hub adds four USB 3.0 ports to any PC, Mac, or laptop, supporting data transfer speeds up to 5Gbps—10× faster than USB 2.0. Each port has its own individual power switch with a blue LED indicator, so you can control devices independently without unplugging. It’s built with a slim, lightweight ABS shell, and includes a 68cm cable, making it ideal for desktop setups, travel rigs, or tight workstations. It’s plug-and-play, hot-swappable, and fully backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices. ✅ Pros SuperSpeed USB 3.2x1 – up to 5Gbps transfer rate Individual power switches – control each port separately LED indicators – clear power status per port Slim & portable – ideal for travel or tight desk setups Plug-and-play – no drivers needed Wide compatibility – works with flash drives, HDDs, printers, keyboards, and more Affordable – around £9.99 to £23.99 depending on seller ❌ Cons No external power supply – limited to 900mA total draw Not suitable for charging high-draw devices (e.g. iPads) May interfere with 2.4GHz wireless devices if placed too close No USB-C support – strictly USB-A interface 🧠 Personal Verdict This hub’s proper kit for expanding ports, syncing gear, or managing peripherals. I’ve seen it used for flash drives, card readers, and external HDDs, and it holds up—fast, clean, and no faff. The individual switches are a standout for power control, and the build quality punches above its price. For under £25, it’s a smart grab for anyone who wants USB expansion without clutter or complexity.

Premium look & quality well worth the price
Honestly, I expected basic product in nice alu case, while in the end I've got so much more. Hub's design is exactly what a premium product should look like: extremely precise cuts and much attention to detail, highest quality materials, sturdy and solid look. This hub will look great even with the most expensive computers. A little shame that Sabrent used micro USB 3.0 in it, while USB-B 3.0 would give the socket a bit more mechanical durability in the long run. Thick and a bit stiff connection cable (stable power & less data interference) will attract the enthusiasts while annoy the casuals. Sockets with 45 degree angle are the perfect choice: plugging and unplugging devices is as effortless as possible. Overall: I picked mine to plug into an older type of LED TV and it works like a charm. More than that, it looks so great that two women around the house are calling it an attractive & handy accessory. For me it's enough to call it the perfect hub for any USB device. The price may be discouraging, but it's as usual with premium products - You're paying for one-of-the-kind, great looking design. Protip: there is a problem with getting an original power adapter by Sabrent so if You plan on plugging power hungry devices (big external hard drives etc.), let me help. You're looking for any 5V adapter with minimum 2,7A current and 3,5 x 1,35mm jack plug. Like this one for example: 5V 3A 3.0A 3000mA AC-DC Switching Adaptor Power Supply Plug 3.5mmx1.3mm 3.5x1.3

Great product to add to your set up
Very useful product if you lack front usb ports on your computer. I purchased this item to allow me to plug in items to my computer on my desk as opposed to fiddling behind the PC. Allows for 4 additional USB 3.0 connections which can be useful. Plug the connection into an existing usb 3.0 connection on your PC to utilize the extra speed gained by 3.0 9/10 worth the price, product feels steardy, only small thing is the cable itself is a bit small but that's just me

Sturdy device and good valuie for money
This is very well made with a good quality cable. Ideal for me as my desktop PC has two USB slots on the side of the case and several others on the back which are a nuisance to reach . This allows me to keep it on the top of the case and easilly plug in cameras , memory sticks etc as needed without having to fiddle around with the ones on the back.

Smart Looking USB Hub
needed a usb3 hub, this one looked smart, and indeed it is. It has an interesting LED illumination off the base so you can find it in the dark (I think). Otherwise so far a trouble free unit. Runs a tad warm to the touch, so may not suit travelling as it may eat too much battery for little purpose, but otherwise everything plugged in has been recognised and runs great. The cable is quite heavy, but the unit has enough mass to stop it wandering if the cable droops off your desk. Nicely it uses the same (min sata?) connector as extenal drives so ads an extra function that I wasn't expecting. Makes working from hoe a bit easier as the laptop has too few usb connections.

Perfect
Perfect - even better with the power supply you can buy on ebay - why Amazon don't offer these easily is beyond me :-)

Looks good
This is a very good looking 4-port USB hub, which has easy access to the ports and for some reason a white light on the front which is supposed to let you know it has electricity (for whatever reason). What did I like? - Aesthetically pleasing - Sturdy - Easy access to slots What did I dislike? - Price - Can't turn off the light

Solidly built USB hub
Great USB hub with quality materials (aluminum). Anker used to make the exact same style, but it was discontinued recently. I have both, and they are identical, which says a lot about the Sabrent brand actually. Definitely recommend!

Davvero ben fatto e molto versatile. Consigliato assolutamente.

Looks nice. Isn't too expensive. Performance seems adequate for me.
USB hubs are too expensive but this one is close to reasonably priced and it's nice for what it is. The aluminum housing adds some needed weight to keep the thing from sliding all around. It also probably helps with thermals, as sometimes USB devices you plug into hubs will produce excess heat. I can't really review the actual USB 3.0 performance of this thing because my hardware isn't really up to it. I have a computer that was manufactured around the time when USB 3 was first starting to show up and the fastest USB 3 device I have is a Sandisk 64 gig flash drive. I did a test and transferred about 40 gigs of movies to that drive plugged into this hub and I got about 34 MB/s. Not really that fast but still way faster than the crappy USB 2 hub it replaced. Not a big deal for me. I bought this as a modest upgrade for a very old and junky USB 2 hub. And I bought it because I need a USB hub that works. If I can plug a USB device into it and it works, that's worth 15 bucks. I guess this is kinda silly to mention in a review but the packaging on this product is well done. I'm pretty sure it's some kind of cardboard but if it is, it's some kind of super cardboard because it has some real weight to it and if you knock on it, it almost sounds like some kind of wood....as odd as that sounds. Not a big deal but I guess it inspires some kind of confidence in a company that bothers to make nice packaging in 2016. I'll probably actually keep that box to store things in. EDIT - I have found that I have 2 Lexar USB 3.0 drives that do not work with this hub. No idea why. They are the ones with the plastic connectors so maybe that has something to do with it. All my other flash drives work with this. EDIT #2 (08/01/2016) - OK. Now I have found that my Sandisk USB 3.0 flash drive also isn't being recognized by this. Which is weird because I think it initially was when I first got it. So I don't know what that's about. Now this thing only seems to want to recognize the USB 2.0 devices I have. Which defeats the purpose of specifically buying a USB 3.0 hub. I don't think I can recommend this at this point. The connectors are still very stiff too (despite some use).
