ROMKE Large Modern Rectangular Silver Chrome 8 Way GU10 Ceiling Spotlight Adjustable Ceiling Kitchen Lights

We have one of these in our home - fantastic - and so bought one for a holiday home.This is a great light and with 8 bulbs - 4W each - day light bulbs (not supplied) brightens the kitchen.Holding it up in the air while it is wired in - that's a 3 arm job. Having only 2 arms - I made a sling from string and suspended it from bracket while the wiring was completed.

Used in a kitchen to replace a unit with 4 bulbs to add more light.The unit itself is ok, surface seems low quality so be careful to avoid scratches before its installed.Bracket to install is a pain as difficult to get it to line up properly, took a few attempts.Wiring is very thin, wouldn't want to use this with halogen type bulbs, for low voltage LED ok but 8 x 50w bulbs surely would be a problem, I mean really thin with a nasty connection block.But overall, with a bit of tinkering its alright value for money and now installed looks more expensive than it actually is.

Bought these for the kitchen. I was tired of a dull kitchen so ordered this lamp for 8 bulbs. It did the trick. Works fine. I bought LED bulbs for it; 7w, 560 Lumins, 6000Kelvin. Very bright but too white. Its too much like an office and will probably give me a headache. I have reordered the same bulbs in 300Kelvin which should give a much warmer, pleasing light without being harsh.

On the whole it is easy to fit. The only fiddly bit is connecting the cables in the push-in terminal block whilst holding the weight of the fitting. As for the brackets I fitted one to the ceiling first, and the other one to the fitting. Placed the fitting into the bracket already on the ceiling and marked with a pencil where the screws line up on the other bracket. Then fixed the other bracket on the ceiling and it then lines up perfectly. I fitted 3w led gu10 lamps and it looks fabulous. I wouldn’t recommend using 50w tungsten gu10s as the wiring on the fitting looks a unsubstantial for 400watts. Overall a really nice unit.

Bright, clean, efficient design. Used to replace single centre bedroom light fitting. Looks great and works extremely well. Very satisfied and now have replaced all centre ceiling light fittings throughout my home with 4, 6, & 8 led bulb versions. Would highly recommend.

So these lights look really nice, nicely polished and because of the 8 positions are super bright with the right light bulbs fitted, very simple and easy to install but you do need a 2nd person just to hold the light while you clip in the electric wires.But here's the bad bit, once fitted there is almost a 1cm gap between the light fitting back and the ceiling at both ends, at first I thought wow this ceiling is bowed but no it was the light fitting itself, up against something straight and flat it looks like a hump back bridge, I guess most people wont look up to see how badly warped it is but because I know its there I will always see it, the warp is so bad and consistent across its length it can only be due to seriously poor manufacturing tolerances and assembly staff who dont care or been told not to care.

Easy to install, quite light weight useful when fitting. Comes with push in wire fitting but is supplied with a screw type connector block if you wish to change. Really bright (dependant on bulbs) with 8x7 watt LEDs. It's a bit of a finger print magnet so a polish required once fitted.
