This is one very good teapot.
This is a well-made teapot. Its all-glass body (including the moulded in handle) makes it easy to see just how strong the brew is. The stainless steel infuser is certainly large enough to contain enough tea (or herbal mix if you prefer) for a couple of large mugs of really strong brew, and the gasket which holds it in place is solid enough to seal the neck. The piston is also a good one, with a soft gasket to stop even very small particles from getting past it. As the parts which come into contact with the tea are glass, stainless steel, or a high quality plastic, it's easy to clean, something which I appreciate more these days. I was also worried that the glass handle would be slippery, but the shape gives me a good grip of it, and makes pouring very easy. I already had the cheaper version with a plastic infuser and handle, and overall, I'm glad I forked out for the more expensive model. There are a couple of very minor niggles, however. Firstly, I rather wish that the “little perforations” continued the whole length of the infuser. Secondly, it's harder to get the used leaves out of the steel infuser than it is the plastic one, where they quite literally drop out as a solid plug. But these are very minor complaints on what is a generally excellent teapot.

The Best Teapot I Have Ever Owned
This was my third Bodum teapot. It stands out as being stronger and more durable than the smaller pots I previously had. Heat-resistant glass suffers from thermal stress when filled with boiling water. Although the glass is designed to withstand this, nevertheless it does warp a fraction when rapidly heated. My two smaller Bodum pots broke spontaneously after about 18 months' of daily use. They just suddenly fell apart while being filled. The 1.5L version, this one, is made of noticeably thicker glass which is better able to withstand repeated thermal stress. I have used mine for two years' now - say 2,000-odd brews - and am confident it will keep going indefinitely. All that said, the design is excellent and it makes lovely, fresh, tea. The large size isn't an inconvenience - filling it less than a third full?: then give it a swish around while brewing and after pressing the plunger. The press separates the tea from the brew very well and keeps the tea from becoming bitter. Tip: to help prevent accidental damage to the glass, e.g. chipping from a knock when not in use, I keep mine in a wooden bowl. I have also stuck transparent strips of protective laminate around the pot. This further reduces the chance of accidental chipping if it is knocked against something hard. Lastly, the pot's low mass means that pre-warming is unnecessary. A minor detail, but helpful for a tea addict like me.

Better than the old one in all ways but one.
I bought this to replace an original which I have had for about 20 years. The old one still works, but the infuser and plunger had seen better days and the plastic lid cracked. This one's better: the stainless infuser allows better flow of boiling water and is easier to clean; the plunger and lid are more robust and the silicone ring between the infuser and the pot holds the infuser in place. Best of all, the pot is the same size & shape as the old one, so I have a spare. The single downside is the glass handle. It seems like it'll be the think to break (so far so good, though...) and it gets hot when under a tea-cosy, which the old plastic one never did. That's the only reason it has lost a star. Oh, and it still makes most excellent tea!!!

Best teapot I've ever used
Best teapot I've ever used. I bought the 1 litre version. Easy to use, easy to clean, makes a delicious cuppa. I recommend highly. The spout does not drip at all, a perfect pour every time with no mess. Mine has a glass handle which is the perfect size and does not get too hot. The "permanent" filter can easily be removed for cleaning, it is not clear in the description if this is the case.

Stylish teapot
Had the style of teapot before and loved it, unfortunately had to buy another when the original got broken. Although the same as before , the handle has changed slightly, preferred the broader previous handle. That said it still a fantastic teapot and allows you to brew tea to your taste without letting it stew.

Great for leaf tea.
We have now gone through 4 of these pots but their quality is such that it's worth it. The previous pots have cracked but not because they were knocked or dropped. We think that the dish washer was responsible even though they are heatproof enough to take boiling water. They fulfil the prime directive - they make a grade 1 cup of tea. Don't forget though, the taste depends upon the quality of the leaf.

low-IQ new rim design without pouring arc .. tea spills down the outside of this tea-press
unlike previous designs (see photo comparison) this rim (top of photo) has no recess arc to facilitate pouring .. consequently tea spills down the outside of the pot .. every time. this makes the tea press almost unusable.
