The HDMI extender over Cat5e cable works. No perceptible video loss; excellent video transmission. Easy to set up. Just hook up properly and “it just works”. I would purchase this brand again if I needed another long HDMI video run.

So far these have been a good investment. I used them to move my security camera display to my new office without having to rerun all of the camera wires. They have only been in use for a week or so. The reason for 4 instead of 5 is the power cable is not very long at all.

Purchased this to replace older boxed version (that had lasted 4 years). Had been using these HDMI extenders to feed a monitor in my dining room nearly 40 feet from the DVR. The connection was spotty from day one, but after a couple of reboots, I got it working. However, seemingly randomly it would go out and I'd have to reboot the device or adjust the ethernet... Thinking that the 5 year old Cat5e might have gotten knicked in the wall or something during a renovation, I powered down everything, fished a new Cat6, reconnected everything and checked the office monitor (that has a direct VGA connection) to see if the cams came back up, and my screen was blue tinted. Ran back and shut everything down. Come to find the small MicroUSB port soldier points sheared off. Note- it had never been unplugged, and had no direct pressure on it because it went under the DVR's network cable. Luckily it was powered from the USB slot on the board so had a common ground... That might have saved my HDMI port. Regardless, the fact that the USB protrudes perpendicular from the side of the HDMI is absolute horrible design. If you have any other adjacent ports in use, you will have to put strain on this. In addition, the soldier points are so tiny, the 5 micro-connections had more soldier than the ground and anchors. Also upon investigation, the boards were either corroded (see yellow arrow plus zoomed in shot) or had flux left over. Mind these were in use for under a month in a temperature controlled environment. Both ends... I highly recommend NOT getting this product.!

The RX/TX interface devices work fine and continue to work. However, both 5V power supplies failed completely which I had to purchase replacements for, one with in a month and the other after only two months. Just a bit disappointing.

Necesité el extensor para conectar un DVR hikvision a un Smart-TV a una distancia de 40 metros, me preocupé un poco cuando evidencié que necesita la conexión USB de 5V para alimentar ambas puntas del extensor, pero lo solucióne con los puertos USB que contienen los aparatos (DVR y TV). En las imagenes se ve claramente la conexión junto con la alimentación por le puerto USB. La calidad de la imagen es perfecta, con otros extensores tenía intermitencia con la señal, pero con este producto la imagen es estable en todo momento!. Lo recomiendo!

Probado con cable cat5 y funciona muy bien

Lo tengo funcionando en un DVR para vigilancia casi todo el dial y no presentado fallas. La calidad de los materiales se ve un poco frágil pero vamos ver cuanto aguanta. Funciona bien con cable Categoría 6 pero con 5e se cortaba el video.

These work well, but the power plug sticks out the side of the HDMI plug, should be on the dongle end. Now I have to use HDMI angle adapters to get these mounted side by side on my 4 port HDMI splitter. The power connection should not be on the plug end. Also the HDMI plugs are slightly too fat to fit beside others.
