ParaEq MKII Pedal (MKII Deluxe)

I've had this pedal for a few months now & I'm very glad I pulled the trigger and made the purchase. It's been very versatile in shaping my tone. There's a little learning curve to it, but once you start twisting the knobs, you'll figure it out pretty quickly. It cuts frequencies or adds depending on how you tweak it. I wasn't totally unhappy with tones I was getting out of my setup, but it always felt like it was missing something. This pedal took care of it. It's quiet and is built very sturdy.It might be pricey to some, but you get what you pay for. This will be a permanent addition to my pedal board.

I was on the verge of dropping $3k on a new amp but decided to see if this EQ would answer. It absolutely does. With just small tweaks, it makes all my guitars sound better, and compensates for the limitations of my amps (Carr Sportsman & /13 JRT 9/15). Interesting that I can leave most settings in place for both single coil and humbucker guitars, and just lower/raise the lows/mids 3-6dB either way to match the pickup type. The boost is also amazing.

There simply is nothing out there that does what the Empress Effects ParaEQ Deluxe does. So well thought out and practical for really any and all EQ needs. Quality does cost more, but I totally recommended this pedal to anyone looking for a no-compromise EQ solution.

Well thought-out parametric equalizer that is very capable for tone shaping and eliminating unwanted frequency bands. Requires more awareness of the nuances of your sound profile that a typical graphic EQ. Overall I'm pretty impressed with the Empress Effects products, although they do come at a higher price point.

The possibilities offered by this pedal are almost limitless. From extreme tone shaping, to a simple tone enhancer. And the booster adds a little extra spice which is awesome.Very high quality construction and sound. I think this little friend will stay on my pedalboard for a long time.

Great pedal… but for $350?? Not sure what I was expecting, magic? I returned it.

Bought this because all reviews I read were praising it.....Reviews were wrong!!This light weight pedal feels cheaply made, sounds like crap, and is definitely NOT worth the price tag!!You're better off buying a Sansamp!!

It’s clean, the boost is badass, and the EQ and extra bands with this deluxe version go a long away. I particularly like how free of noise it is. This pedal is quiet! The size is nice too. Wish it had another mid band but regardless, with the right tweaks my guitar and amp sound better and I’m enjoying playing even more.
