Came with a bad sensor, SES light on wioth different code
I bought this remanufactured item to save money on a potentially very expensive repair job. The module works well and the vehicle shifts smoothly and it's out of "limp mode"and did not have to be programmed. The SES light is still on and is showing a code for the transmission temperature sensor, which was fine on my old unit and apparently not functional on the remanufactured one. Replacing the sensor would require removing the entire unit again (>$500 job at my mechanic, negating the savings of buying this) to get the SES light to turn off. Fortunately my vehicle is so old it doesn't need to pass emissions, so I'll just be buying a code reader to make sure there are no additional codes coming up while the light is already on rather than get a replacement sensor. It was worth it for me, but maybe consider getting a new one if you're in need and are paying someone else to do the replacement.
