Did not work at all my items came out the same color. Did a couch cover that was light pea green used frost, charcoal and Olive … it did nothing very disappointed after 20 each wasted 60…

I ordered this stuff at the end of April and received it today due to the slow shipping because of the Covid-19 (no one's fault). I wanted to dye a quilt smoke grey and I could not find any Rit Dye at all. I ordered this stuff and was anxious to try it. I followed the directions and was so happy to see that the once ugly peach-colored quilt had turned into this beautiful shade of grey. I would buy Dylon again and would recommend it.

A little pricey but well worth the extra cost for the ease of use. I ordered it because I wanted to fix an oopsy and get some bleach stains out of a pair of my husband’s shorts and sounded like it would be the easiest product to use. It dyed the rust colored spots a light gray. So the spots weren’t so obvious once the shorts were dyed but they didn’t dye the same color as the rest of his shorts. ALSO, in case you are incredibly confused as well, they have included a picture above (that is unfortunately not on the product itself) that shows that “pod” is term they use for the whole container you receive. I stupidly opened it thinking that there would be a laundry soap type pod in the container and was extremely confused when it was just powered dye. Thankfully my husband was home and able to figure out what “pod” actually meant.

This didn't distribute the dye through out my king size duvet it left splotches all over. It was too bulky and my washing machine is a front load. I probably should have tried to do in a big tub but it would have been difficult to squeeze out the water. I might try to order another one and do the dye in my bathtub. I just hope it won't stain my tub.

I was looking to recolor some stuff that was looking pretty color worn, so i decided to try the Dylon Grey washing machine pod. You get enough dye for 600g, that is essentially one pair of trousers and one shirt, or say a few smaller items. I picked the grey, because it was the closest color to my faded trousers that I could get. Preperation is fairly simple, you wash the clothes first (unless they require a pre dye solution), then add the dylon pod to the wash. Select cotton 40 degrees and let the pod wash the clothing. Once that is done, depending on washing machine time, you will need to then rewash the clothes again in normal detergent. Hang up to dry, do not use a tumble dryer for this process. You then need to wash the machine again empty, to make sure you have removed any remaining dye. There are many variables to a successful dye wash, one being the material is suitable for the dye, the color. The wash time for the machine can vary considerably for a full forty degree wash, can take as long as three hours. It is not recommended you use any eco wash load cycles either. I had a successful outcome, both clothes (trousers and hoodie), (which had color worn wear marks), looked better and should last a few more months longer. I was impressed at the results on these fabrics. There was no color patchiness I just let the clothes dry naturally. The pods are reasonably priced and very good value if you want to try and save a piece of clothing that is materially dull or lost some of its color. Something to consider however: The amount of time needed in the washing machine for a forty degree wash for the dye pod can be as long as 3-4 hours in wash cycles. This does not include at least two more hours for pre-wash of clothing before use and then another post wash to clean the machine after use. This time will vary between machines though, so maybe slightly longer or shorter depending on the make and model of machine you own. Pros: Easy to use, comes in a range of dye colors, comprehensive instructions. Cons: Does not work on synthetics, must be 40 degree wash and may require a pre dye wash pod too.

Se non volete ritrovarvi un capo “stile generale ucraino” diffidate da questa marca: due tinture DYLON provate, due risultati completamente diversi dal colore dichiarato. Per me basta così. Aspetti positivi: ora posso andare in guerra con i miei nuovi vestiti verdi militari Aspetti negativi: In precedenza avevo utilizzato Navy Blue su un capo bianco 100% cotone, aspettandomi una tonalità blu/navy. Il risultato aveva invece una marcata dominante verde salvia. Ho voluto dare al prodotto un’altra possibilità acquistando Smoke Grey, questa volta su un pantalone azzurro/ice blue 98% cotone e 2% elastan, che volevo trasformare in grigio scuro. Ho seguito le istruzioni e il risultato è stato ancora più assurdo: invece dello “Smoke Grey” indicato sulla confezione, il pantalone è diventato verde pino/militare/petrolio con chiazze che virano sul blu. Quindi, nella mia esperienza: Navy Blue + cotone bianco → verde salvia. Smoke Grey + cotone azzurro → verde pino/militare/petrolio. Capisco perfettamente che una tintura non sia una vernice e che il colore originale possa influenzare il risultato. Ma qui non parliamo di tessuti sintetici o inadatti, né di una sfumatura leggermente diversa: volevo un pantalone grigio e mi ritrovo con un pantalone verde. Ho speso circa 19 € per Smoke Grey e, cosa ben peggiore dei 19 €, ho compromesso un pantalone a cui tenevo particolarmente. Dopo due esperienze del genere con due colori differenti, non considero più affidabile il risultato cromatico che posso aspettarmi leggendo il nome della tonalità sulla confezione. Una stella. Non lo ricomprerei e non utilizzerei nuovamente una tintura DYLON su un capo a cui tengo. Una stella perché 0 è impossibile.

He teñido de gris unos vaqueros blancos. El color ha quedado muy bien, no hay manchas, es uniforme. Por desgracia, no es gris, sino verde. No sé cómo es posible, ya que los vaqueros eran blancos. Se puede ver muy bien en comparación con los zapatos que si son grises.

I wanted to dye a cream cotton skirt and a pair of cotton trousers. I followed the instructions and couldn’t believe how good the end result was. Colour is even and came out a lovely grey, just followed the instructions
