Having nearly completed all the possible DIY jobs at home over the past year of Furlough ..... thought I would give carpet fitting a go .... purchased a selection of tools to compete the task of 5 bedrooms and two set of stairs. This kicker has been an excellent purchase! It’s adjustable in length and seems well built. The wheel winds out some adjustable spikes which you set to the required depth depending on your carpet pile. There is a plastic cap to cover up the spikey end when not in use. Recommended.

I'm writing as the product that I bought has broken I've had products to yrs and this never happens so now I have to buy another one .... the padding broke off and just keeps lossing a grip on the teeth area dont waste your money.....However even tho my product had a fault the seller was so good heard my concern and gave me a full refund which is why I have given them 4 stars thank you so much 😁

This is obviously a reproduction of the Roberts kicker. But as I've used many Roberts kickers j can say that this is made just as well. Same materials and standard of build. Only difference is it is slightly cheaper. I don't use it everyday as Im also a hard floorerbut it's had a few hard days of full houses to fit and done the job great.This has got the larger pad on it so just bare that in mind as I know some fitters prefer the smaller one.Overall would recommend all the day long.

We used this to lay a lounge carpet for the first time. It was very sturdy and easy to use. Simple to adjust the depth of the grippers and it didn't damage the carpet. We adjusted the depth on a scrap piece of carpet and were able to finish the rest without issue.Just remember to set the depth so that the grippers can grab onto the carpet backing otherwise you'll be giving your new carpet a haircut!

I work as a Carpet Fitter for 25 years and used only 3 Knee Kicker in that time. I have fitted a number of carpet with this new one and I must admit it is proving to be just as good as my last three.

I bought this kicker and a self employed carpet fitter and used it once and all runner and foam split and hanging off.
