Good value for a Modbus gateway
For the cost, this gateway works quite well. Out of the box it does not work properly, however. When in the configuration page for the device, you will need to make sure the "Modbus TCP" box is checked (it is not by default). If this box is not checked, it will place additional data on the RS485 line that can't be read by a traditional Modbus client/server role. This gateway does not do any buffering of the server's registers, it simply echoes the requests and responses. This will add a slight bit of transport delay in the system, so this may not be adequate for applications that have rapid poll and response rates. While this works in either direction, it is ideal for applications using a Modbus TCP client when interfacing with a server device that only has an RS485 serial connection.

Handy converter
I really wanted to test this as a possibility for my local home network devices. This way, I could backhaul RS485 devices from more remote places. The setup isn't as as intuitive as I'd like. Sometimes the guide is a little difficult to work through. I've got other PUSR stuff and it's pretty good. This will hold-up. There's a bit of a delay getting the data (I think it's just polling when requested rather than buffering).

Works perfectly for adding sensors to remote locations
I'm using this with a temperature sensor and relay to control a freezer unit and send alerts if there is a problem. It works exactly as intended. I have it connected to Home Assistant, although it's meant more for use with a PLC or computer, which would also work well.

semplice da configurare, affidabile, fa il suo mestiere oramai da un anno. Non è sofisticato come un Moxa ma per un'installazione normale va benone.

Fácil de configurar como Modbus TCP <-> Modbus RTU
Muy fácil de configurar, opciones simples y claras, la unica pega es que pese a ser adaptable a un carril DIN el frontal no es compatible con las cajas normales, por lo que hay que hacer un pequeño recorte en el frontal, ya que en este caso el equipo fue instalado en una vivienda para controlar un inversor huawei sun2000 a través de modbus RTU
