waxed paper has many uses, the most important in my view is that of wrapping up cheeses in it. It seems to keep cheese fresher longer and less likely to go mouldy too. It is also good for wrapping up meat, lining tins and anything else where you don't want things sticking to a container. John Lewis used to sell this, but not anymore, so I am delighted to have found a nice hefty roll on amazon.

I have used waxed paper for a long time for wrapping (or re-wrapping) cheese, bacon, ham,etc. It's so much healthier than plastic wrapping. This is the first time I have seen this all natural paper and thought I would try it. It is excellent and the lack of nasties makes it even more appealing.

Good value and arrived quite quickly. Suits my purpose fine, which is using it with Spellbinder Dies. Only fault may be that the paper box is standard size for this type of roll, where as the box it was delivered in could quite easily held 3 pairs of shoes. Far too big...

Use this to keep cheese fresh. Because I am mean I reuse it for as long as I can. Make sure you use a piece big enough to totally cover the cheese because if the air gets in the cheese with dry out - it's not like cling film in that respect because it won't stretch.

The box says it's for wrapping food etc and it would indeed be perfect for that, but just at the moment I'm using it to wrap individual soaps before wrapping them in gorgeous decorative paper and adorning with little bits of preciousness. Stops the soap from sticking to the wrap if it gets wet. But there are so many other things I could think of to do with this stuff..!

I bought this waxed paper as a "healthy" alternative, but now have my doubts. The majority of soy wax is produced in the States from GM crops grown with pesticides and insecticides. These are then subjected to various chemical processes to produce the soy wax, including use of a chemical called hexane, which is a neurotoxin petrochemical solvent. I would like to think that the the description "all natural, 100% soybean" really does mean just that, and hope this can be clarified.

Had trouble finding this as previous supplier no longer able to obtain. Previous was white, which I preferred, whereas this is brown, but it seems to do the job ok.

Ich habe dieses Papier jetzt seit ca. 4 Wochen in Gebrauch. Ich muss sagen, dass dies wirklich die beste Art und Weise ist, Käse und Wurst am Stück, sei es Salami oder Schinken, frisch zu halten. Einfach großzügig einwickeln, zweilagig je Seite genügt vollends, so bleibt die Ware in dem Zustand, in der sie gekauft wurde. Die Wurst trocknet nicht mehr aus. Speck ist beispielsweise bei mir früher in anderen Verpackungen entweder steinhart geworden oder begann schon nach wenigen Tagen zu schimmeln. Der Käse reift sogar noch nach, auch hier bleibt er schön weich. Ich denke, das liegt daran, dass das Produkt durch das Papier atmen kann, die Schicht aber den Austausch von Feuchtigkeit unterbindet. Ich kann allen diese Papier empfehlen, die viel Geld für wertige Ware ausgeben und diese ohne Qualitätsverlust im Kühlschrank auch über einen längeren Zeitraum lagern möchten. Schön, dass es noch solche Produkte gibt. Früher waren sie Standart, kann mich noch gut daran erinnern.

Fake product and only 1 box arrived not 3. I have used this paper for years and this doesn't fit the box right and doesn't work. Food sticks and presents goes through. Not the same paper quality.

(Seit ein paar Jahren bei uns in Gebrauch) Für uns passt dieses Wachspapier hervorragend. Überwiegend benutzen wir es um Gemüse/Salate/Obst u.s.w. einzuwickeln wenn wir es im Kühlschrank lagern bzw. im kühleren Hausflur (da nutzen wir ein Stück Papier durchaus auch 2-3 mal). Auch belegte Brote und dergleichen sind gut aufgehoben in dem Papier. ... ..und dann gibt's ja noch die vielen anderen Anwendungen wie Schnittmuster ausschneiden/geölte Werkzeuge darin lagern, und und und

This is by far the best waxed paper ever! Carnauba wax is natural and made from palm trees. Safe for wrapping all kinds of food to keep it away from plastics and petroleum-based "wax." After freezing, it takes on almost a fabric-like flexibility without the wax flaking off as it does with some other wax papers. Not thick like freezer paper, but for freezing I use it inside stainless steel containers. Great product.
