Good solar panel.
I purchased it to keep my electric mobility scooter battery topped up.It does the job ok so far , and am if possible am going to try to fit in onto the bike to help with the range of the scooter. It is a good product and so far does the job that it was made for.

Not 10W nearer 5W.
Like most Chinese products the rated output is a work of fiction. In bright July sunshine I get around 0.3A.No way is this panel 10 Watts but nearer 5 Watts which corresponds with its physical size.

It maintains the charge in the battery to which it is connected
The instructions are pretty rudimentary. That said it doesn't take a great deal of engineering nouse to find the battery terminals to which you wish to connect the panel. The panel was bought to maintain the charge in the vehicle battery in my motorhome whilst it is in storage. Connect the black terminal clip first, and the red one second. Ensure a good secure contact. The panel will maintain the charge in the battery if the panel is placed so that it faces the sun, so South. If the charge in the battery is low then it will remain low. If it is high the charge remains high. So far it has saved me time and money, by not having to run the engine, during the Covid19 Pandemic Lockdown period. Keep an eye on the the vehicle, battery and panel as part of your normal maintenance checks every two weeks or so if your vehicle is in storage

Be sure that it is connected!
After 3 weeks on the inside of windscreen, connected directly to battery, the car (2ltr engine on small battery) fired up at first turn...back in March, after only 2 weeks, consumption on locking and alarm system had taken charge below startiing capacity, so this device does the job! Only thing to be aware of is that most "lighter" sockets are dead when the ignition is off, so this device will need to be connected to the battery terminals. To check the socket, if your phone stops charging when you switch off, the reverse charge will not work either. Now I need a holder so that I can put the full cover over the car and still trickle charge!

Dont waste your money. Product is Garbage.
Do not buy, Absolute garbage. Did not work out of the box! Decided to disassemble to inspect the quality inside, instaid of returning product. ( Ipc technician currently working in the education sector, mechanical engineering ) This solar pannel was tested with a fluke volt meter on the hottest day of the year in the uk. Under direct sunlight 34.c it produced 0.87mV... to charge a car battery over time, it needs to be atleast 12.8v or greater than the potential of the battery. To put that into perspective thats less than 10% of a single volt... its like trying to blow air into truck tyre with your mouth and the tyre is already at 80psi.... most watch batterys put out more power... i appreciate that my product may have been defective and not everyone will have the same results, but the build quality was horrendous and i feel people need to be informed to make a fair decision to purchase. On first inspection there was a plastic film over the solar panel, this should have been removed on assembly but instaid has been stitched into the surrounding cloth material, after removing it the panel was very dirty behind it and had grubby finger prints from the person who had assembled it. I earlier attempted to fix the panel to the sunroof glass in my car, suction cups ether failed to attach to perfectly clean glass or the weight of the panel pulled the push fit suction cups from thier mouting holes on the panel.I then carefully cut away the backing to find that the wires inside where afixed to the device with double sided scotch tape (3M brand). A proper cable clamp should be used to prevent you pulling on the solder joints, although the tape would have done some what of the same task. The tape removed easily and a wire came loose with the solder joint still attached!! The other solder joint if you can call it that, was mostly splatter and with a gentle scratch with my nail came away from the land on the board (the place it was soldered to). This is due to not enough heat transferring to the joint whilst soldering and is known as a dry joint, this will cause high resistance, possibly why mine produced such a miniscule amount of power. The wires had also been incorrectly stripped causing damage to the wire strands and with a little bit of gentle flexing snaped from one of the lumps of solder, to be fair, the tape would have helped stop this from happening although it came unstuck with little effort. I dont know how this managed to pass a quality check for UK use, but more likely it does not need to have one.I feel now that if bought another panel I would not feel safe having this in my vehicle, although at 12v 20w at 1.62amps is not alot ( thats the descriptions power rating! mine never achived anywhere near this) .. there is the potential for fire from a short as it could easly occur, as most car cigarette lighters are a 15amp fuse, it would be intriguing to see if it blows the cars fuse or the product begins to smolder first.

works a treat
ok, bought this after getting confused about which one to buy.I can only say it works great, my battery kept running flat from lack of use of vehicle after having a accident I don't get to drive very often.well packaged, suckers work great to fix to window, used crocodile clips to battery, my concern was how do you know it's charging? without testing equipment the only way to tell is trying to start the car after a length of time and if it starts it works.I can only add it does work and one way of knowing is the note or pitch of the starter motor when you turn the key, it sounds lively and healthy not dull and sluggish, i've even drove the car and left the clips charging while driving.hope this helps, 10 watt seems to do the trick as I was worried it any lower wouldn't be up to the job.my rear window gets plenty of light all day.

Just get one, one of those handy tools that save you a lot of headaches!
Straight out the box, great product, really easy to use. Plug and play can go straight on the battery or on the cigarette lighter of the car.Using this to keep an old campervan charged whilst parked up, this product could also be easily modified to use whilst camping to charge phones. Festival season I will use a small 12v battery and a 12v to 5v USB module.

It works!
I bought this as overtime ( after a couple of weeks) my motor home refused to start. I previously was using a Optimate trickle charger to prevent this. Luckily the charge lead for the charger can be plugged into the solar panel so it's easy to fit the solar panel to the windscreen and charge the battery.
