After buying a ROG Ally I quickly became a fan of ASUS products, and after owning this monitor for around six months I can confidently say I love it. The build quality is exceptional - easily the most solid monitor I’ve owned - and the screen quality is outstanding. Colours are vibrant, the image is sharp, and it performs flawlessly whether I’m gaming, working, or watching content. Setup was straightforward, and everything about it feels premium and well thought out. It’s not cheap, but it earns that price. The matte coating prevents reflection well. It works brilliantly across PC and console (and I do use it for both), delivers consistently excellent picture quality, and feels like a genuine all-rounder rather than a compromise. Minor backlight bleed can be noticed in completely dark scenes, but it’s not something I ever notice in normal use. Overall, this is a high-quality, feature-packed monitor that absolutely lives up to the ROG name, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

This monitor from ROG does not disappoint. Here's the categories Ease of Assembly and set up This monitor is very easy to Assemble with the stand or a Vesa mount (I have tried both for the sake of this review. I do permanently use vesa mount for my wall). It's easy, instructions are straight forward and the overall build quality is brilliant. The same goes for plugging in the cables to set this monitor up, its very simple and I like that this monitor has a cable cover to help organise and protect your cables if you're using multiple HDMI, display port, USB's etc. Screen quality This monitors screen quality is insane. Absolutely brilliant. I first tested watching YouTube on my PC and playing a few games. The display is bright with vivid colours and crisp detail. The HDR is also very good allowing customised presets for Gaming and Cinema (watching films) which I believe is a really nice feature as it just improves the experience of this monitor compared to others. I then swapped to my PlayStation 5 and was again left amazed by the amazing quality this monitor offers, games look fabulous on this monitor and the fact it supports VRR is a whole other bonus in itself. For me, this monitor is brilliant as my PC runs an RTX 3070 which can only do 1440p while the PS5 is of course capable of 8K. This monitor means I get pristine graphics at 1440p regardless of which device I'm using meaning I didn't have go compromise quality because of my PC. Other details This monitor comes very well packaged, included with the monitor is 1x ROG Branded HDMI Cable 1x ROG Branded DP Cable 1x ROG Branded USB Hub Cable Both UK and European power supplies These cables are extremely high quality and ensure you're getting the best out of this monitor. Another nice touch I like is these cables come packaged in a really nice small netted Zip bag with the ROG logo on it which can be re used to store whatever you want. I have an ROG Backpack I use for work so I'm going to use this netted bag to store my adapters and SD cards within my backpack. I find this little addition a nice touch and I'm very happy with it. Final Comments & summary Overall, I love this monitor. Yes, it's very expensive, but for that higher price you're getting a monitor that is feature packed, very high quality and absolutely the best of its class in the 1440p range. Republic Of Gamers products are well known for their high quality, this monitor is no different. Not only is it great for Gaming and movies, it's color accuracy means editing and content Creation on this monitor is also very good making it a fabulous all rounder for people who work and play. There are many reviews on here that mention Back-light bleed, yes this is present on this monitor. Is it a massive issue making it unusable? I do not personally think so. Its not noticeable when in general use (Ie. Browsing, gaming, etc) the only time I notice it when the screen is completely pitch black on YouTube. If you do decide to purchase this monitor, I'd like to think you won't be disappointed. ROG have once again made a great product and while very expensive compared to its competitors, it is certainly worth the extra investment. (Also make sure to make an ROG Elite Member account and register the products serial number to earn points to exchange for rewards on the ROG website. This also registers the warranty at the same time)

Great monitor, vibrant colour, vrr and 160hz works nice. Loads of display inputs. Being an ips screen the response time is great, no ghosting but the blacks in dark scenes suffer. For the money a decent screen.

Brilliant monitor thats ideal for many types of games with its selection of options and filters If your playing horror games that rely on darkness and shadows then it has the appropriate filter and functions to get the most out of the graphics without having to tweak in-game quality. If your playing fast-space games like racing titles, Spiderman, Ballistic-NG then it has the option for anti-blur, a vivid filter to brighten up the picture. It has HDR for games that use it like Horizon Zero Dawn. The high refresh rate gives you zero lag response time. The lower resolution compensates for high refresh rate so you dont need a high end GPU to get the most out of it. It has G-Sync which gives more cooperation between your CPU, GPU and the monitor, everything works in tandem with each other. It can be overclocked for more increased refresh rate but I personally dont see the point in 170fps if the technology isnt there to maintain such a high frame rate, this may make the monitor run hot, it has a built-in fan for that reason. Use with caution. My only advice is to not have this monitor close to your eyes if you lack the space, hence why I have it on the wall, if its too close, the bright picture, vivid colours can potentially give you headache or eyestrain. A wall mount is recommended, I couldnt fully enjoy it until it was on the wall. It also has built-in speakers but they are very tinny and lack bass, they sound like speakers that came from a PSP device. Not very good but I suppose they are a last resort if you dont have speakers. The control buttons are easy to navigate too as it has like a litle nub you can push around to go through the settings. Was using a 4K 60Hz monitor for years. As much as I loved the clarity of 4K but it was just too demanding on my GPU on some games. 2K and higher refresh rate seems to be the way forward

This monitor is a complete failure in every respect. The colors out of the box are washed out and unusable. The interface is clunky, unresponsive, and poorly designed. HDR functionality is broken, constantly creating issues. Even basic use in full screen mode is impossible in games, every attempt results in black screens or the game forcefully tabbing out. The only way it functions at all is in borderless windowed mode. This product is unreliable, frustrating, and not worth the money. It has been the single worst purchase I’ve made in tech. Avoid it at all costs. Compared to my ROG swift that served me for 5+ years, this is a complete piece of trash.

8 mois que j'ai cette écran, je pense réalisé un avis assez positif. J'utilise l'écran quotidiennement et a sont plein potentiel, il à une bonne luminosité, il à de belles couleurs et très peut de fuite de lumière. Si je devais lui donner un défaut c'est le pied, mais il peux être une qualité car il est très beau mais prend pas mal de place, mais il y a moyen de le changer pour un autre pied au cas où (et c'est pas donner pour tout les écrans) En conclusion je trouve que c'est un écran qui respire la qualité et a l'heure actuel un super compromis pour les joueurs de fps ou de jeux AAA avec un écran 2k, 170Hz et HDR.

Kann ich jedem, der 1440p mit 300 (320) hz spielen und keinen oled will empfehlen. Bild, Farben, Helligkeit und Bewegungsschärfe alles auf sehr hohem niveau für ein ips Panel. Gsync und overclock auf 320hz funktionieren auch einwandfrei. Der Monitor bietet ebenfalls viele Einstellungsmöglichkeiten, gaming features und speicherbare Profile. Für mich ist er ein sehr gutes upgrade von meinem 180hz monitor, schnelle Bewegungen in fps Spielen wie Valorant sehen viel flüssiger aus.

Totalmente recomendable,pedazo de monitor,los colores son muy alegres,regulable en altura,giro,cabezeo,muy contento con el,calidad asus,ni fugas de luz,ni pixeles muertos,con mi ryzen 7800x 3d y la 7900xtx juego a todo en 4k a los 144 hrz que lo tengo configurado.

Got a dead pixel after 2 months in the middle of the screen. No repair from Asus since the minimum is 3. Last time I’ll be buying asus.
