Peacock Ore Specimen - Medium

The peacock ore is a lovely stone nice and big a lovely stone for my collection very pleased with the stone arrived today the 3rd of July more gemstones for me to add to my collection will be ordering from you again

Really pretty, arrived quickly and was a lot bigger than ancipated.

This is one of the most colourful crystals I have ever bought. I really like the crystal. But it is a bit small. Healing crystals India which is on amazon and ebay sells bigger crystals than this.

Not quite as beautiful as the photo but still gorgeous. Nice big stone. Buy it!

I was looking forward to an amazing blue violet shining crystal, like the ones in the pictures. When I unpacked, out popped a bit of what could be plain clay. I don't even know what to do with it.

Lovely bit of bornite, had very strong blue/purple colouring measuring 5/2/3cm. Great sample, arrived well packaged - would buy from again.

What an enchantingly beautiful piece! Not quite palm-sized, my stone measures about 2.25" x 1.5" and has some incredible iridescence with flecks of blue, green, violet, and even magenta! The pyrite is minimal (fool's gold) just a few bits here and there but most of the stone's surface is bright vivid colors! I was a little concerned after sorting through many other listings for peacock ore and people generally tended to be disappointed in the slight amount of color, but this stone from CrystalAge is absolutely gorgeous! I'm so glad I bought from them! A little about Peacock Ore (aka. Chalcopyrite)... Some reviewers had complained that the color seemed to be "painted on" or "chipping off" but they don't understand the nature of Peacock Ore. The colors grow naturally in a very thin layer on the top of the rock. Peacock Ore is a copper iron sulfide mineral commonly found in hydrothermal veins and contact metamorphic rocks and it is actually the TARNISH that turns to iridescent shades of blue, pink, purple and green with bits of pyrite that account for the seeming gold bits. NOTE: Very similar to but NOT the same stone as Bornite! The bluish-purple color to this stone (at least the one I received) indicates that is stone is Chalcopyrite as it appears to have been enhanced with acid to produce bluish-purple Peacock Ore stone. The chemical structures are similar, but not the same: Chalcopyrite is CuFeS2 and Bornite is Cu5FeS4. The healing properties are very different as well. Such a wonderful, iridescent bluish/purplish Bornite (Chalcopyrite/Peacock Copper Ore) specimen, size is good, too, quite love it, would purchase it again...This is indeed a very beautiful, truly amazing magical-mystical stone to use during meditation as it is extremely powerful for the ajna chakra. It will open and activate the higher chakras, which will in turn raise one's vibration to that of spiritual awareness, transcendence and knowledge. And it is an absolute "must have" for all those into psychism and magick.
