I bought this is as a replacement of the Wyze Cam v3, which i returned only because believe that I got a model with some problems.About this model, maybe, i didn't read the specs very completely, but this model only has a zoom not the wide angle, which almost all of the reviews on YouTube show as if this device can do both.The zoom is really good(about 3x of the wide angle view) and quite clear. The images at night(low light) are great too, quite okay.Pros:>The app starts up and connects in about a second to the camera! (Cam V3 took about 5 seconds out more, usually timing out)>Clear video (5 stars) for daytime, (3 stars) for night ones.>Micro sd card management is great, with the software overwriting it from the start when it fills up.>Very small package containing the camera, charger, pretty long wire, and mount.>App is great to quickly check events, go to recordings and live feed.>Very easy to set up motion detection area on the camera's point of view. Multiple different areas can be set too.Cons:>Only zoom, the camera does not go to a wide angle mode (need to connect another, Cam v3, using the top slot on this one, which is very easy, though, and instantly pairs with this camera to form a multi image combo pack)>App software does not have the pan option to quickly browse thru the video, only buttons to go 30 seconds or a minute, back and forth.

I use this to read license plates of vehicles that pull up into my driveway. Often the wide angle lenses do not have the resolution for that. Sometimes it is important. I 'like' this company because they make some darn good cameras. That is probably all that I should say. 2.5GHz only. FYI, It does not have an adjustable zoom. A subscription is needed for 'premium' things that are already built into the camera.

This is a great system but many people complain that all their cameras go offline every now and then - mine would always stop working after two or three days, and I'd need to restart the hotspot to get them working again. I'll spare you the details of how exasperating this was (none of the fixes suggested on the Wyze website or forums helped). I didn't know if the problem was with the cameras or the hotspot. But then I discovered the fix... the system has been working fine for a few weeks now. In your phone (Android), go to Settings, Apps, Wyze, then Storage & Cache, and hit Clear Cache. Apparently, if the cache gets too full the system slows down to the point that a timeout gets triggered and this bumps it off the network. Clearing the cache at least once a day has kept the system running as it should. The system is great - economical (Black Friday deals helped a lot), easy to set up, and gives your peace of mind a real boost.
