I purchased this new plate because my older one shattered the price of it was excellent. It fit perfectly. It functioned like it was supposed to. It was super easy to install and to my surprise. It was the correct size for a 30 plus year old air compressor.

There is a cap screw on the valve plate holding the inlet valve reeds in place. The cap screw head faces down into the cylinder when the valve plate is installed. The head of the cap screw is a little too long and contacts the head of piston when at the top of the stroke. We were able to file down the cap screw head to provide enough clearance so it would not strike the piston. The remainder of the valve plate fits and functions well. Update: Exhaust and Intake valves broken, item is defective.

First item got misplaced but Amazon stepped up and got me another one. replacement worked like a champ. old air compressor works like new now.

One of the reeds broke after a couple uses. By the time it occurred I was past the point of being able to return it for a refund. Luckily the piston was not damaged badly, and the cylinder walls are fine, otherwise it would have been a costly lesson about buying cheaply made China products to save some cash. OEM is more expensive, but if you want a part that will last it is the only way to go.

Straight forward remove and replace and restored my compressor to producing MUCH higher pressure.

No issue with the Seller but the reeds broke shortly after the purchase. Very easy to change but aggravating when you’re in the middle of a job and the reeds fail.
