How do you clean the rotating brush? Alot of hair seems to get collected but can't seem to easily clean?

No easy way without dismantling. I use a fine knitting needle and tweezers, and try to get the female family members to brush their in bathroom or kitchen (no carpets))

Is this suitable for wool carpets? I have been told it may cause shrinkage.

We used ours on a wool rug in the front room I put warm 2 parts warm and one part cold water and the rug came up nice and clean and no shrinking hope that helps

Does this clean sofas very good and how long does it take to dry if you use it on sofas

How far does the hose reach when cleaning the stairs

About six or seven stairs in our house - halfway up. Halfway down from the top. We have a 1930's house so steps tend to be shallower than more modern houses. So allow for six and you should have some to spare!
