I have done research for the best beard trimmer and this by far is in the top three. #1-Its afforable #2-Trims hairs evenly #3-Comes with many attachments I bought one for myself and my son who is just starting to learn to groom his facial hair. The Braun Series 5 5480 is a perfect product for our use. I feel comfortable knowing its a Braun for this company has a high reputation.

Seriously, I understand that Braun may proprietary connectors for better water protection, but I can't think of a good excuse for not having at LEAST the SAME port across all their electric razors. This is horrific for travel having to bring 2 bricks just for both of my razors (foil for precision/close, all-in-1 for nose/general). It's 2026. I can literally power the rest of my stuff with USB C, get with the program. Yinke sells a nice adapter for Braun foil shavers to USB C, but no such adapter is found for this port. Tried 6 different adapters online. I returned it and bought the Philips all in one which actually has a USB C adapter available.

After not shaving for a week to 10 days I was looking for a shaver to reduce my beard to something I could then use a traditional razor without clogging the razor after a single use. With 5 blade razors now costing $8 plus per blade, this two step process works great and cheaper in the long run. This Braun electric razor works great for this first step. I especially like the base attachment to do this first step. Wasn’t expecting that bonus feature. Don’t really need any of the other attachments. I’ve had good experiences with Braun shavers for decades with quickie shaves for work. So I felt comfortable buying a Braun razor for a new approach to shaving.

Do not buy. Within 2 months of owning (and not much use, I have a beard so use this about once a week to trim) it broke. The dial no longer "clicks" meaning when you turn it to select a length it does move, but literally any force on the guard and it moves freely. So set it to 8 and then push it with even the most minimal force against your face while shaving and the guard will just push in to a zero. So now you're clean shaven when you didn't want to be. I tried to contact their support, but the manufacturer support website that Amazon points me to says "We are sorry but due to technical issues, we are experiencing high volumes" with no way to send them any type of message to get help. If I manage to get help or a replacement I will update this review. But in the meantime I HIGHLY caution against this product

Please help!! What charger adapter do I need to buy for this?? I bought a USA to Australia one today - it looks to be an American plug, but the one I bought doesn't fit into the adapter unit itself (not wide enough). Before I buy another one, please confirm if it is a USA plug adapter I need to be able to use this in Australia! Info online is very vague!!!!
