Thoroughly worth it
The new collar devices are much smaller, more reliable and last longer between charges than the previous bulky and not properly waterproof design. As the owner of two escapologist Jack Russells, the system is priceless. In the past year, the dogs have escaped into the countryside three times and each time I have found them by holding the monitor out of the car window while driving, until a signal is secured. Then it's a matter of finding somewhere quite high nearby and tracking which direction they are in. This has taken less than an hour on each occasion. Before I had the system, we had no way of knowing where they were or even if they were alive and one of the dogs went missing for four days.Only four stars as the tracker collar sleeves tend to disintegrate over time.
