Greenbrook POLY External Bulkhead Light Fitting - 100 watt BC with Grey base

Very happy with this product, functional but not out of place illuminating our patio from the rear wall of our home. Robust construction and thus far water tight. I like the fact it will accommodate up to a 100 watt bulb. I would recommend this product.

This was an excellent product with easy to punch out holes for various fitting options. Good quality batten holder inside.

When I received this item it looked OK so I spent a couple of hours mounting the backplate and "plumbing in" the electrical wiring. Unfortunately when I came to connect it up I encountered problems! As I think one of your other reviewers found, the terminal screws would not tighten up. The screws are not the usual "brass" type but are of some sort of alloy which seems to be very soft and tightening them is difficult as the access channels in the porcelain holder are not correctly aligned, which makes it fiddly to get a screwdriver in place.This may explain why it is easy to perhaps over - tighten them resulting in the thread stripping. Fortunately, when I contacted the supplier they sent me a replacement bulb holder very quickly and being forewarned I was very careful when tightening the screws, so now it is in place and working. Also, when I put in even a small 60 watt halogen bulb I had to put spacing washers behind the mounting bracket to avoid the bulb pressing against on the metal backplate. Fortunately there is plenty of room inside the cover, but I suspect a "normal" size 100 watt bulb would be a very tight fit without bending the mounting bracket as well.As far as the manufacturer is concerned they need to look at replacing the bulb-holder with a better quality one, and I was tempted to give this item just 1 star, but I decided that would not be fair to the supplier who was very good.

Have not had this item installed yet but had one previously which lasted for years and had a great light.It looks good and is very practical for outside and inside use (mine is going to be installed in a cloakroom)The delivery was a bit longer than I expected but when it arrived it was well packed.I'd recommend it

The supplier posted out a different model, & of a different colour. The power specification is the same - 100W (BC=Bayonet Cap) .I fitted a fluorescent bulb (20watt - 100w incandescent equivalent) inside.Wire attachment & bulb attachment are good quality, & easy to install.However, the pre-cast holes are difficult to cut out. I used a hole making drill to do the job eventually.(4 pre-cast holes to choose from - one on each side.)Does need some DIY skills & a bit of design decisions to attach to the wall & for the wiring.Above all, it is flexible.

I bought this to replace a damaged cover. I wasn't sure it would fit as the dimensions weren't precisely the same as the old one. It fits properly.
