High quality with a thick wood top and sturdy metal legs. The height and overall dimensions are perfect for my living room. The small opening in the slate adds to the aesthetic of the table. The top was rough from packaging but I applied food grade mineral oil and the wood came to life big time. I have kept it indoors but it can also be used outdoors. It's way better than many other options in this price range, in fact the best! The assembly was easy and I recommend it doing on a flat surface.

Looks nice and quality but one engineering concern.This table folds in the middle for transport and storage and depends on support beams under the table to give it strength.I am an engineer and I am suspicious of the support beams.The support beams are hollow sheet metal and are definitely the weakest link. However, the table does quote a maximum load of 150lbs and that's probably true, but I can feel it flex.My suggestion to others -- if you can buy a 4x4 of wood + some bolts and drill some holes and are willing to do so, then buy the table otherwise, once your kid climbs on it, I would be concerned.The solution. Go to home depot buy some 4x4 or even 2x4's are enough. Remove the wood screws and the sheet metal support beams and instead drill a hole through the 2x4s and the cross members that the support beam used to screw into and run your bolt through the holes and bolt it up. Once you do that, the table will hold no problem and the legs become the weakest link, but for practical purposes the legs appear good enough to me as long as you don't put all the table weight on one or two of the legs.It is a nice table for the money. For light duty, no curious climber kids and just some dishes, its fine as it is.

I was able to put it together by myself with a some tricky maneuvering. Easy as pie to assemble. Table is very very sturdy. To the people saying it caves in the middle, that's because they didn't have it perfectly flat when putting in the 2 support beams. There's no way it would slope inwards of that step we're done properly. The wood is high quality and beautiful. It has a really rustic look to it. I'm so happy with this purchase. My family needed this table! Something strong, beautiful, and affordable! I got the chairs at a thrift store for 20 so we're all set for under 200!
