Distill:AM Barebones - Broadcast AM Bandstop Filter for Software Defined Radio Applications (AM Notch Filter)

Good filter
Without the filter the AM stations around London completely swamped the SDR on both LF and HF. (SV1AFN up-converter into a NooElec NESDR Smart.) Note that this unit is unboxed and depending on what else you have plugged in you may need an SMA pigtail. Unlike some other reviewers I haven't measured the filter response, but suffice to say it made all the difference in my noisy AM environment.

Does as it says reduces the medium wave broadcast band signals
Does exactly as it says - blocks all weak medium wave broadcast signals and substantially reduces the stronger ones. This solved my issue of station imaging on the higher hf bands leaving just actual signals from those bands.

High quality construction but rejection is 30dB rather than 40 dB
I have measured the rejection of the filter as around 30 dB, rather than the ("typical") 40 dB quoted in the product description. However I am still satisfied given the low price of the item. The construction is of a high standard.
