This is a great book for any young aspiring coaches, great details for football sessions and easily applied to your own coaching environment.

Got it eventually, but very good book.

Good content and easy to follow

This book does not disappoint! It will give you the opportunity to coach what Guardiola coached at FC Barcelona. Really easy to understand and I can't wait to put it into practice. I have immediately bought both: FC BARCELONA A TACTICAL ANALYSIS DEFENDING AND ATTACKING books. I really want to study the barcelona way and these books will allow me to do just that.

I also have the FC Barcelona: A Tactical Analysis Attacking and Defending Books which are fantastic if you want the full tactical blueprint of what I believe is the best club side to play the game. Those books analyse each phase of the game and every conceivable game situation. I cannot fathom how long it must have taken to produce these books with so much detail. I was so happy when this book (FC Barcelona Training Sessions - 160 Practices from 34 Tactical Situations) was released because I really wanted full sessions to go along with the analysis. I was not disappointed as this book contains some of the finest practices and progressive sessions I have ever seen. The amount of content provides great value for money and this book really is a must have for any coach. The sessions begin with the technical breakdown of Barca's play and progress to new and innovative possession games, transition games and small sided games. Each session focuses on a specific phase of play and game situation, such as RECEIVING IN BEHIND THE MIDFIELD LINE AND APPROACHING THE THIRD STAGE OF ATTACK and RETAINING BALANCE DURING THE ATTACKING PHASE: THE DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER’S ROLE. What I find most incredible about this book is that it teaches the technical side of the game so well, but also covers every tactical situation you can think of and teaches you about team shape, cohesion at all times to prepare for the transition phase and each player's role and responsibilities. To have all this information in one book (every phase including the transition phase) means you have a complete training program for your team in the mould of Guardiola's great side.

I cannot help but feel that this book is a bit of a con. If you buy this book what you are NOT buying are FC Barcelona training sessions - what you are buying is some Greek guys best guess as to what training practices might achieve something like a Barca way of playing. That said, some of the training games look good and I am looking forward to using them, it is just that I am disappointed at the disconnect between the front cover and the author's very candid opening statement on page 3. I am put off buying anything else by this author and to a lesser extent by this publisher. I feel that what I am going to get out of this is a poor rate of return on the cost.

This guide is great for planing training sessions and is easy to understand. I plan on buying more from his series. Highly recommended.

Great Book. Awesome Information. All the exercises are not only explained in detail, they are explained in a tactical sense. The authors do a great job of showing you what these drills will help you accomplish in a greater tactical picture.
