Solid Gold Wet Cat & Kitten Food, Pate & Shreds in Gravy, Variety 12ct

My son adopted a sweet little kitten and we wanted to give him the very best nutrition possible. Solid Gold is a reputable brand and I have used their dry food in the past with one of our dogs that had certain dietary restrictions. We always had a favorable opinion of the company so we decided to order this wet food for our newest addition. Kitty took to the food right away and didn’t need any outside motivation. It has a good, fresh and meaty scent similar to human food. The smooth pate is easy for kitty to eat and as he grows bigger, we’ll probably get some different flavors for him to try. For now, the chicken pate formula is gentle on his digestive system and a nutritious food that he enjoys while getting acclimated to his new home. The small cans are perfect for growing kittens and he’s able to eat a full can twice a day in addition to dry food that we keep available for him at all times. It’s pricier than many other foods available, but the highest quality ingredients are important to us. We want him to have a good healthy start, and this is part of his well balanced diet plan.

My girls LOVE this food! And I am very happy with the quality and the fact that it is holistic and grain free! The "sampler" box is the best way to go to find out which ones your kitties really like the most. I also mix it with their Solid Gold Indigo Moon dry kibble to help bulk it up and slow down their eating. I have only been feeding Solid Gold cat foods to my pets since 2002. ❤️🐈🐈‍⬛😻

My last four cats lived into their 20s, one of them coming within a few months of being 29 years of age, and I credit the quality of their food for a great deal of that. I have two cats now - an 8-year-old and a 2-year-old. My cats are free-fed kibble, and I use Blue Buffalo kibble for that. But, I also split a 5-6-oz can of wet food between them each morning, and, if they eat that, I'll split another can between them in the late afternoon. While my cats are okay with the various BB kibble recipes, they prefer more variety in their wet food. I don't feed them junk, so I choose between a large variety of canned foods, and try to keep track of what they like and what they don't like, but the most important thing is that the ingredients be good. The cats I have now are pickier than my last two, and I thought they were fussy. They have flat out rejected some of the most expensive brands on the market, and they don't like the 100% meat canned foods, which seems odd to me, but it's a fact. They like the Sold Gold brand. I have tried, I think, all of their recipes, and I don't think they've walked away from any of them. That's good, since there's little point in offering them great ingredients if they aren't going to eat it. As examples, the ingredients of the Solid Gold Sea Bream & Tuna Recipe in Gravy begin with: Water sufficient for processing; Sea Bream; Tuna; Tapioca Starch; Sunflower Oil; Canola Oil; Carrots; Pumpkin; Spinach, and goes on to list a bunch of other stuff, mostly vitamins, minerals, and so on, with nothing that looks scary. The Solid Gold Mackerel & Tuna Recipe in Gravy ingredients are similar, only with Mackerel rather than Sea Bream. There is no corn, soy, wheat, gluten, or byproducts, and that's important to me, too. So, the Solid Gold brand meets my specifications, as well as the taste requirements that my cats put on their food, and, as a plus, it's affordable - not cheap, but affordable, as opposed to some others.

Wow my picky cat ACTUALLY eats this!!! My cat usually only licks the broth and leaves the rest. I’ve been trying everything. I first purchased solid golds broth and he loved it, so I decided to try the wet cat food and he loves it!!!! Yes!!!!

As everyone with pets knows, our cats, dogs (or whatever you have), have distinct personalities and taste buds. A particular food item that may be shunned by some pets, might eagerly be devoured by others in a heart beat - and who would be right? Having said that, all I can do is to evaluate the 3 adopted (formerly feral) cats that we have in our home. We have 3 formerly feral cats - a Momma and two of her full grown kittens (female and male). They are absolutely hooked on various Applaws and Reveal brand of canned food and whenever I serve them that line of food, they go nuts and inhale everything. Periodically, I like to try other products in an effort to give our cats some different choices, mixing it up a bit. So when I saw this Solid Gold Wet Cat Food Shreds in Gravy offering, I thought, "why not..." When the box arrived (I ordered a case of 24) - I was eager to serve the cats their new treat. But alas, it was not to be. They each walked up to the new food, gave it a smell (one cat actually tasted it), and all just walked away. No matter what I tried, none of them wanted anything to do with this food - bummer, and a complete waste of money to be sure. Then I tried giving them this food at different times during the day - nothing worked. They wanted nothing to do with it. So the moral of the story is, "don't buy cat food that looks like something you'd like yourself (as many of us tend to do)!" Now get this, I gave this newly purchased box of this food to a neighbor who has 5 cats (all indoor), and after several days, I inquired with them as to how their cats liked this flavor. The neighbor responded that none of their cats wanted nothing to do with it - which she found odd - and she gave the box back to me. So now, I just put it out in our back yard (we live by the woods), and allow the possums and raccoons to eat what was left, as they'll devour anything. So in the end, the purchase of this Solid Gold wet canned cat food was a total waste of money, and a mistake I won't make again. So, as is the case with any pet food, your mileage may vary, and some of you cats may like this food.

My cats/kittens love this, unfortunately every time they eat it they instantly get the runs. Of you have a cat who may be sensitive dont purchase

My kitty cats really like this variety pack... One of my kitties really loved the shrimp in gravy one... So far so good, I'll try the other variety pack and see how my kitties respond... Peace to the Middle East...

My cat hates anything related to fish. I have tried different flavors, different consistencies, many many different brands. I took a chance and ordered the variety pack. I gave her the tuna in gravy and she ate every bit of it. One happy mama!!!

Being able to confirm an order for this 3 Oz size is almost like winning a lottery - especially when you have a senior cat at home who is quite particular about the food you place in the dish. We’ve tried the 6 Oz version but it just isn’t the same - it seems to contain more moisture, looks mushy and my cat simply won’t go near it. I hope the 3 Oz version will continue to be produced.
