Worth it.
I’ve wanted a katana forever. You can blame bad movies and D & D. I have two other swords that were picked up at a garage sale. They both feel like toys, or replicas. This, feels like a real sword. It easily sliced through folded paper upon testing. It seems like good quality although with a little playing the wrap has frayed at the bottom of the handle.A swordsman, I am not. It feels balanced though, not too heavy or light. Just right. It is a beautiful thing.I would say if you’re like me, and just want to fulfill a childhood fantasy, go for it! You’ll be pleased with this. I know that I am.

Super Awesome
This is a beautiful high quality Katana for under $100. Awesome addition to our collection. The blade is steel and nicely crafted. The handle is super comfortable and balanced. Has a really nice design on the hilt. Comes with a nice, tight fitting sheath and wrapped in a nice bag. The only thing I wish is it came with a stand for displaying. Those are cheap enough though. Amazon has some inexpensive ones. Overall this is a real nice looking Katana for the price. Would also make a great gift.

Awesome product
My grandfather fought in WW2 in the pacific and brought back a katana from the battle of Peleliu. He gave it too my uncle. I already have an authentic arisaka bayonet used on one of the rifles in the war. So when I found this katana I told myself I might as well get one to complete my collection. For $80 this sword is very well made and is the closest I have found to an authentic katana from the pacific. It is well made and very sharp.

Exceptional
Very well balanced, looks incredible and is 100% solid no rattles or noises. Seals nice and tight and is exactly the quality you would want. Just stunned of the quality for the price.

Good sword for the money.
Blade was sharp and well ground. All fixtures were good quality. Overall, a very good quality sword at a reasonable price. Shipping takes a long time coming from China.

Heavy and balanced, quite sharp, but mine came with knicks on the edge already.
Disappointing, for the price I would at least expect a refined edge on the sword. I got the sword and immediately opened for inspection. After cleaning off the excess oils I ran it underneath a light to look for imperfections. The blade edges all has knicks and the blade seems to be used or tested. Very disappointing. Only good thing is you can only see if are examining it like I did.

An amazing katana for the price, but a few things to know before you buy
There are no shortage of cheap mall ninja swords you can buy online, at ren fairs, etc, and there are plenty of legitimate swords if you really want to take the hobby seriously and pay several hundred dollars. This is sort of a middle ground katana, but for the price ($100 at the time of this review), it's remarkably high quality. The first thing that jumps out is that it comes in a lovely little carrying bag, which makes it much more convenient to store if you don't want it on display. The scabbard/saya is a nice polished piece of solid wood (I would guess maple, but I can't say for sure), and the sword rests inside satisfyingly snugly. If you turn it upside-down, the sword won't fall. You have to actually apply pressure to unsheathe it, which is what you want. There are lots of fine details in the decorations, and it really resembles more traditional styles. This isn't trying to necessarily be edgy in its design; if anything, the different sculpts are indicative of nature. The sword comes oiled, and is actually surprisingly sharp out of the box. It's not going to slice a hair in half, but it will definitely cut and/or pierce you if you're reckless with it. I don't have any desire to use this as more than decor and a conversation piece, but I would probably look into it a bit deeper if I wanted to actually practice with it. The description says it's full-tang. I feel the hilt/tsuka feels a bit on the light side, but it also does have two mekugi (the bamboo pin), which implies it actually is full-tang, or at least not rat-tail. I'm not skilled enough to disassemble the hilt to check, but you may want to if you plan on swinging and striking with this. One really important note, and something that really made me consider taking off a star - this does NOT include a stand. For the price, that's not surprising, but considering the first two promotional pictures showcase a stand, and as of this review, there's no clarification that a stand would not be included, it would honestly be a reasonable assumption for somebody to make. I don't think the seller is being malicious here, but I would highly recommend they update either their images or their description to clarify.
