I put this in my 2006 Silverado to replace the original that was sometimes not turning when attempting to start. Replacement is straight forward and I'd recommend watching at couple of videos first. The bigger hassle was the door lock replacement. It's a terrible GM design to get apart. These parts worked perfectly. I did have the issue someone else mentioned about the anti theft light coming on solid. The truck worked fine but the light would never go out. Disconnect the ground cables (2 as it is a diesel) and let it set for a while and hooked them back up. Everything reset and all works as it should. Very pleased

After installing from a theft attempt, the door lock worked fine. The ignition lock has two issues. First was the old key started the engine. Second was occasional stalling and dying engine. I replace the ignition lock housing, and everything works well. No more stalling/dying engine, and the old key does not work. I used Dorman 924-713 housing here on Amazon. There are plenty of YT videos on how to install it. My model year didn't require reprogramming at the dealer. It can be done at home. Also, YT videos on how.

These are easy to install and work great.

The side locks are perfect in this kit very smooth with no issues! But the ignition on the other hand has some issues... it will hold the key in after shut off and requires wiggling the key to remove that will cause premature wear over time, keys are pretty solid thou look like oem and feel like it

Easy to replace on my 2005 trailblazer. Took 10 minutes and haven't had an issue. Keys are cut kind of sharp but it's fine.
