The Massage Bible: The Definitive Guide to Soothing Aches and Pains (Mind Body Spirit Bibles, 20) Review: Great Books! - I have ordered several books in this series and I love them. Easy to read. Straight to the point. Set up nice and clear and gives nice fast facts without all the blah, blah, blah. Review: Exactly what I was looking for - Pros: -Pictures!! -Easy to understand. -Knowledge of direction of movement, what parts of the body the massage giver should use (finger tips, palm of hand, knuckles, etc), pressure amounts, as well as start/finish session techniques. -Covers from lite touch to deep massage. -Lot of pages, you get your money's worth. Cons: -Small physical size of book, would be nicer if enlarged. -Occasionally could use more detail on how to correctly position hands / technique but good overall. Who is this for? -Probably not someone who already has a professional job doing massages but couldn't hurt to add another reference book. -For anyone getting started in massage. -For couples who want to help their significant others sore muscles/relax/release stress.

Nice book. Smaller than expected.
It's a very nice book with good information for massaging. It's just smaller than I expected, but not a tiny book. I favor bigger books like this. But that's just me.

Not what I expected
Book was kind of technical. But I did get some important and valuable information from it. I will it when I massage my wife

Everything I need in a small package
Great intro to massage for beginners. Provides techniques, a sample massage sequence, great diagrams (anatomy), and a brief history. Some people complained about the size of the book, but I love the size! It fits in my (large) purse so I can take it to read on the go.

Just what I needed !

This is a handy book with a lot if quality images demonstrated different techniques in GENERAL, not in DETAIL. You should have basic knowledge of massage techniques. It will not be your training manual

As I am studying massage NVQ 3 right now, this book is amazing. Learned a lot! Easy to read. Highly recommend.
