Awful ,managed to do a small seam then the iron would not work again !

I am very diappionted - it's definely worth spending a little more I think. This worked once - did one carpet seam. Switched it off to work on the seam. When I plugged it back in would not heat up anymore... sent back to amazing got a replacement. it took me a while to come to finish this - personal life stuff happened then when an exactly repeat of the first time. It's been too long to return it now, I am disappointed.

Perfect tool for a Diyer. Worked great, no problems. Just make sure you load the tool up with glue before first use. You do this by taking a foot and a half of carpet seam tape and running the iron slowly down it. Watch videos to get the rest of the technique and timing down. Great price, pretty decent quality.

Seaming heated quickly and works smoothly.

This was the least expensive option and so i was a little hesitant to purchase.... Especially after reading one other review that said that it took too long to heat the glue, however, I went ahead and purchased it and it worked great, got very hot quickly and was simple to use. I'm thinking that the other reviewer did not realize that theres a toggle for multiple heat settings and maybe never increased the heat setting to his need.
